Our power grid is out 3x longer than Florida's. Why? Because the PSC dropped utility pole standards 7 years ago, and companies profit off building new stuff, not maintaining the old.
As a former LPSC consultant, I built ServiceMyPole.org to fight back!
Stephanie Hilferty skipped this debate, like she's skipped six forums. She had "scheduling conflicts" for 7 weeks preventing her from attending the WDSU hot seat, and then used every backdoor tool available to her to prevent it from airing.
Stephanie Hilferty has taken almost half her campaign money from the companies the PSC regulates. Entergy is literally writing the rules commissioners pass, word for word. As commissioner, I'll change the rules so no one can take utility money.
Our utility bills are doubling because career politicians get up to half their money from utilities, then give those utilities whatever they want.
From the WDSU hot seat debate. My opponent had "scheduling conflicts" for 7 weeks preventing her from attending this hot seat, and then used every backdoor tool available to her to prevent it from airing. I had to call the head of WDSU to get them to unblock this episode.
Our electric bills are up about 50% since 2020, and our power stays out 3x as long as Florida's.
Utilities fund the campaigns of the commissioners who regulate them. I'm not taking any utility money.
I'm an engineer, and I know what it takes to put over $1 billion back in our pockets.

Public accountability gets poles fixed.
This pole sat broken for five years. Weeks after it went up on ServiceMyPole.org, Entergy fixed it.
We already pay for maintenance on our bills. It shouldn't take a public callout to get it done.
Vote Chris Justin, #48 on the ballot. Early voting is closed today. It reopens Monday and ends Tuesday, Oct 27. Election Day Nov 3.
If you're getting on a plane, you don't ask your pilot what party they are. You ask if they know how to fly!
This race is down to two real choices: a career politician who took 45% of her money from utility companies, or a licensed engineer who takes none.
This race got a lot of press this week.
Verite News dug through the filings: Stephanie Hilferty has taken more than $137,000 from utilities and their executives. I’ve taken zero.
