Westchester County and the Village of Mount Kisco have finalized an intermunicipal agreement that formalizes the provision of police services, delivering significant cost savings while maintaining high-quality public safety for residents. The agreement allows Mount Kisco to continue receiving police services through the Westchester County Department of Public Safety, avoiding the expense of operating a standalone police department and reducing long-term financial pressure on local taxpayers. The agreement, approved by the Westchester County Board of Legislators and Mount Kisco officials, establishes a clear framework for police services, oversight and coordination. By sharing resources and personnel, the County and the Village are eliminating duplication, controlling rising public safety costs, and ensuring stable, predictable service delivery.
