Why we began? Why we continue.   Since its inception in 1991, WDB Trust was established in response to a reality that could not be ignored: women made up the majority of people living in poverty and often experienced its effects more acutely.

The response was to invest in women’s development, create opportunities and strengthen the organisations working to advance women’s lives. 35 years later, that purpose remains at the heart of WDB Trust.   Why we began still matters. And so does the work ahead. #WDB35Years

Sometimes, progress starts with something small: an idea, a skill, a business or the confidence to try. When women have access to the right support, that small beginning can become a stronger household, a growing livelihood and a more hopeful future. #WDB35Years

Heritage lives in the stories we tell, the knowledge we pass on and the communities we continue to build. Today is a reminder that our past can be a foundation for creating opportunities that reach the next generation.
