I’m stepping back from this shithole called X for the foreseeable future.
After watching the attacks and being attacked, I gotta say that a well lived life is independent of social media.
Plus, behind the scenes, I have been working diligently on a political thriller titled, Nightshade Veil.
The manuscript is complete, edited and I’m currently entangled in what’s known in the wring world as the “Query Trenches.”
I am committed to having this story told (many of you will love it) and published traditionally. In order to do that, I must grab the attention of a literary agent…which is no small feat.
As of today, that’s where my focus is.
Thanks to everyone who took a moment to interact with this old Chief’s posts. I appreciate you more than you know.

A friend went to a local utility storefront last week carrying a black plastic cable modem in a cardboard box.
His 78-year-old mother passed away three weeks ago. He was there to shut down her accounts and settle her estate.
He set the box on the counter along with her certified death certificate.
The store rep scanned the serial number, frowned, and looked up:
“Her two-year promotional contract doesn't expire until November. Because this account is being closed early, there is an early-termination fee of 180, plus a 45 unreturned power-cable charge because this box only contains the coaxial cord.”
My friend looked at him:
“My mother died of cardiac arrest. The account holder no longer has a pulse.”
Rep: “Our system defaults early cancellations to the estate balance. If the 225 isn't cleared today, it goes to collections.”
My friend took the cardboard box, flipped it upside down, let the modem shatter across the tile floor, and slid the death certificate across the glass:
“Send the bill to the cemetery. Plot 14B. Good luck collecting.”

Born and raised in Houston. I have watched it go from conservative to democrat over the last 40 years. It's dirty, the water is sick, the illegals are everywhere and the quality of living sucks. I make a promise to turn in at least 1 ILLEGALS every day!
Today’s announcement was possible because of the families, advocates, and everyday Houstonians who have spent over a year demanding this change. I am grateful to Mayor Whitmire for answering those calls.
Under Houston’s new immigration policy, HPD will significantly reduce cooperation with ICE. Police officers will no longer prolong a traffic stop, detain someone, or contact ICE solely for a civil administrative warrant unless there is a jailable, criminal offense.
This is a critical step toward protecting Houstonians’ constitutional rights and reducing the fear and anxiety too many families have carried that calling for help or being pulled over for a routine traffic stop could lead to them or a loved one being detained by ICE.
This progress belongs to the families who bravely shared their stories, advocates who tirelessly kept organizing, and hundreds of Houstonians who returned to City Hall again and again, even when change felt out of reach.
Today gives me hope, and I commend Mayor Whitmire and Chief Diaz for taking decisive action. We will closely monitor the quarterly HPD-ICE reports required under the immigration ordinance to ensure this policy is followed.

I call on @mayes_middleton @DonHuffines @bofrench @KenPaxtonTX @LeighForTexas @smithfortx @JohnMessingerTX @kevinpyeary and GOP State Rep candidates in at least Harris, Tarrant, Williamson, Dallas, Bexar, and Brazos to file to do manual paper recounts and to start doing the investigations of potential illegal alien voting and/or ballot harvesting that can be challenged in election contests.
Doing manual paper recounts confirms whether electronic cheating occurred or not. But maybe even more importantly, it extends the deadline for filing election contests, giving us time to verify whether there was systemic cheating via illegal votes or ballot harvesting.
Last night, I was at a meeting where I talked to two election judges in Montgomery County who said that they saw for the first time a number of non-English speakers with new IDs voting, which they suspected were illegals voting with fake IDs. If it happened in red Montgomery County, think what happened in the big blue counties of Texas.
Before we go analyzing these "results," we need to verify whether they were real or fraud. Texas law shows the way. Candidates and their campaigns have to lead and pay for the verification for it to have any effect.
