Sir Elton John: “I played Chopin and Mozart, Bach and Debussy… I am so grateful for my classical training.” 🎶❤️ The legendary pianist spoke to Classic FM’s @TimLihoreau in 2019 at the @RoyalAcadMusic, about his time there as a student.

“I’m so grateful for my classical training. I played Chopin and Bach, and Mozart and Debussy. Without my training, I never would’ve been able to write the songs I’ve written.” – Sir Elton John in 2019, speaking to Classic FM’s @TimLihoreau about his @royalacademy training. ❤️

#100daysofpractice Season 6, day 35. When your seven-year-old picks up a baton while you’re drilling Bach patterns and says, “Let me conduct you!”, of course you say yes, and you follow their dynamics. It’s a good exercise in flexibility! And very cute.

I will never forget this performance. Ethan Loch is blind and has never seen a firework, yet he managed to paint their colours so vividly. Music is incredible. He has a brilliant YT account, so go and give him a follow! youtube.com/c/EthanDavidLoch @BBCYoungMus #BBCYoungMusician – at Royston, England

Thinking of all the young people awaiting their 2022 A Level results. Hoping for fair rewards for honest effort; good advice & support where needed; and new beginnings for all. Results are gateways rather than ends. Letters and numbers don’t define a person. Good luck to all!
