Here you go. Our favorite albums of 2024. This is also the final Black Market and my last column. It was an honor writing alongside Wyatt, Doug, Aaron, and Mike. Thank you to Stereogum for putting up with me. And thank you for reading! stereogum.com/2290226/the-10…
This is, understandably, my last post here. Same handle around the web. I'm a little more active everywhere else. I hope we can catch up somewhere down the line.

After 11+ years, we’re shutting down the Black Market @stereogum, our monthly metal column. Thanks to the readers, @stereogum, and the peerless @WRambatz. It’s been tons of fun sharing this music. Here are 10 more amazing albums for the road. stereogum.com/2290226/the-10…
As I plot my escape from social media, just a reminder that I have two of these, and I just updated one of them.

Interviewed Oxygen Destroyer and others about how kaiju movies influence their music. Blurbs for Disentomb, Theurgy, Serpent Column, Gigan, and Abhorration. @wyattbmarshall going off, per usual. stereogum.com/2285923/godzil…
Someone should repress this. Anyway, ducking out of Twitter again. Until next time. youtube.com/watch?v=BM8qshfJ…
I wrote the metal column. I wrote the zeuhl intro. I wrote the combination metal column and zeuhl intro. Includes Qs that have been Aed by Kraanerg and Freak Puke. Blurbs for Mind Mold and Teeth. Sneaky interviews with Forn and Oryx. stereogum.com/2282473/is-met…
Bailing from the socials for a bit. Not that I talk to a ton of people on here anymore, but email me if you want to say hey.
Planes Mistaken for Stars jump from kinda eh Hot Water Music emo band to ramshackle force of chaos fueled by misery is an under-discussed one. Also the new single sounds great and makes me want to bawl my eyes out. planesmistakenforstars.bandc…
This is some of the best stuff @wyattbmarshall has published in the column. From me, you get blurbs for Concrete Winds, Viscera Infest, DUHKHA, and Evilyn, plus a sneaky interview with Emasculator. Drop you Song of the Summer picks in the comments. stereogum.com/2278237/the-se…
