Ten million people have watched a comedian accidentally destroy the entire TED talk industry.
He filmed the talk once at TEDxNewYork in 2014 and openly admitted he had nothing to say.
Speaking coaches charge $5,000 to teach the exact tricks he used in 6 minutes to say nothing at all.
His name is Will Stephen. He is a comedian from Late Night with Seth Meyers who was invited to give a real TED talk and used it to prove the format is a costume anyone can wear.
Every TED speaker opens with a question, tells a personal story, cites a scientist, and shows a chart. Stephen did all four in six minutes with zero content.
His entire formula fits on a napkin.
Gesture with both hands. Ask the audience a question anyone can answer. Tell a mildly embarrassing story so they say aww. Point to a stranger on a slide and call them important. Flash a chart of random numbers. Wear glasses with no lenses. The audience will think you are brilliant.
That last trick alone has probably cost the public speaking coaching industry a hundred million dollars in sessions clients should have skipped.
"If you watched me on YouTube with the sound off, you would think I was a genius."
That is Will Stephen on the TED stage, three minutes into the talk he was paid to give. He wasn't lying.
Executives pay $15,000 for a keynote coach and still open with a joke the room never laughs at. Founders rehearse their pitch for weeks and still sound like Stephen at minute four, saying "wagga wah, gabba gabba" with authority.
The talk is free on YouTube. The method is written across every TED speaker's playbook for ten years.
Stephen still writes for Seth Meyers. Almost none of the ten million viewers have stopped nodding at empty slides since.
The formula is free. The willingness to actually say something before your next keynote, pitch, or townhall is the entire edge.

Dont forget, Bill, you interviewed her with softball questions and let her make infuriating statements that denigrated Clark's role in the league. You also refused to make it clear that only women should be in the WNBA. You own a part of this

In 2026, this is how women are treated for peacefully standing up for their rights. There was no way I was going to leave that stadium of my own free will. We did nothing wrong.

I’m confident that neither Mayor Wilson, nor Rep. Jayapal, nor Gov. Ferguson know what they are doing.

Whites will eventually be a minority in America.
They will receive exactly zero of the benefits given "minorities" today.
Because it was never about minorities or equality, it was always anti-white oppression.

It seems Anthony Tan had enough of his company being undervalued
He just bought $29.9 million of shares!!!
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this stock goes up 10% tomorrow. Oil is down and insiders are buying!!!
This stock is about to go nuclear!

You want to tell me I finally decided to start a position in $GRAB and CEO joins the party, well let's frikin go to the moon (6$ will do it for now 😅🤞).
$GRAB
CEO Anthony Tan buys 10,350,000 shares of Grab at $2.89/share.
Anthony has been a net seller on the open market since the company went public. This is first open market purchase.
Obviously, for him to buy $30M of stock while his net worth is around $300-400M shows how significant of a purchase this is and how much he thinks the market has lost their minds on this name.
We are now looking at a public valuation LOWER than what Grab was worth in the private markets. Their enterprise value is $7B and they will profitably do $4.2B of revenue this year.
Really nice to see an insider buy — it has been a tough hold but the broader thesis, in my opinion, is being executed in a VERY strong way with a horrible macro backdrop .
For a CEO who has been criticized for many insider sells (many of which were pre-planned and also deserved given the guy founded the company and wasn’t liquid for a decade) it is nice to see him put almost 10% of his net worth into the company he started 15 years ago via purchases on the open market.
Grab Holdings President & COO Alexander Charles Hungate also bought $867K of $GRAB with 299,571 shares at a $2.89 avg.
The markets are the greatest game on earth, they will test your patience, they will turn your stomach inside out, they will drive you crazy as the price of an asset goes down while fundamentals get better, every bear case will make more sense as you see the price go down, but one thing is clear: execution and compounding earnings wins in the end.
It’s nice to see a C-suite that believes in that themselves and takes advantage of that with a sizeable amount of their personal networth.
