Celebrating our newest Class of 2025 graduates! 🎓 On Saturday, 32 young people who completed the Level 4 Certificate in Youth Leadership and Community Action became the most recent graduates to walk across the stage in the Whitla Hall. The programme, delivered in partnership with @Foroige and @Rcitybelfast, saw young leaders from the #Ardoyne and #Shankill areas develop essential #Leadership skills while making a lasting impact in their communities through community action projects. And not only that, but the qualification has also earned them 30 CATS (Credit Accumulation and Transfer) points, giving them a strong foundation for further #Education and #Employment opportunities. Congratulations, everyone! We can’t wait to see what you do next. Click here to find out more: ow.ly/5Bcq50XaoJ8 📸 Do you know someone who walked across the stage? Celebrating our newest Class of 2024 graduates! 🎓 On Saturday, the first cohort of young people who completed the Level 4 Certificate in Youth Leadership and Community Action became the most recent graduates to walk across the stage in the Whitla Hall. The programme, delivered in partnership with @Foroige and @Rcitybelfast, involved 32 young leaders from the #Ardoyne and #Shankill areas taking part in community-focused projects to develop the critical thinking, problem-solving, empathy and resilience necessary to be an effective leader. And not only that, but the qualification has also earned them 30 CATS (Credit Accumulation and Transfer) points, giving them a strong foundation for #FurtherEducation and employment opportunities. “The experiences of these young people highlight that education is about empowering individuals and recognising there are many pathways to development. “Part of our #CivicMission is to widen access to learning and #HigherEducation for young people across our society, regardless of background and it’s important that we are non-linear in this approach. “Programmes such as this set a powerful precedent, demonstrating successful collaboration between academia and community engagement in achieving positive outcomes for young people across the region.” (Dr @ryanjfeeney, Vice-President for Governance and External Affairs and Registrar) Congratulations, everyone!
