We need to grow the support to ensure the government funds a proper roll out of improvements to upgrade Britains poor housing stock.

@InsulateLove We are a fledgling action group in the High Peak trying to urge this government into rolling out a proper program of investment to insulate our housing stock. We might be small but we have teeth!
This needs to be a proper solution to the problem of poor insulation and not a get rich quick scheme for those with connections to the right people. Professional solutions provided to homes to cut energy usage and give a better environment for people to live in.

Today the group were in Norfolk Square, raising awareness of our campaign. Karen beautifully summarises what Whitfield warm homes is all about. #warmthiswinter #costoflivingcrisis

I chaired the discussion after the showing of the new Greenpeace film The Cost of Living. We heard harrowing testimony of how people are struggling to heat their homes this winter, but also how the solution to the cost-of-living crisis is also a solution to the climate crisis.

The launch of the new Greenpeace film #TheCostofLiving heard some harrowing tetsimony of how people are struggling to heat their home and pay their bills this winter, but also how the solution to the cost-of-living crisis is also a solution to the #ClimateCrisis. #WarmThisWinter
Reflecting on the evening “Cost of living” @GPManchester film launch. An amazing group coming together with common purpose, it’s time for change!. Regardless of who you are, we all have a right to a warm safe home! Join us 26th Nov at 1.00pm at pure vibes, Whitfield
Warm this winter campaign will @robertlargan go and get around that table to discuss? We need our voice heard at govt level.
John from Whitfield warm homes. With the increase in cost of living, what can we do. Make small changes as individuals, but we need govt to change things. The people need to act now, John wants action, for the future of our kids. ‘Change isn’t a spectators sport’ @enoughisenough
Heather from the NEF. NHS on its knees, homes that make us ill, we can’t continue like this. We can have an economy that can help the nhs, can improve living standards. We need to fight to get this to happen. Power is the community with a common factor for change.
Communities need to know they can make change, they have power, a voice that can be heard - Amanda @GreenpeaceUK we need to hold the govt to account. Investment in energy efficiency £6 billion from govt is needed. Renewable energy needs invested in, gas is 9 x the cost of renewa
What the people are saying @robertlargan why aren’t you here? We need things to change. We need help to change standards for landlords, houses shouldn’t be damp and poorly insulated.
Why should an 83 yr old woman volunteer in a charity shop all day to keep warm and be fed then go home to have a bath and to bed before 6pm because she can’t afford to heat or light her home. That’s no life! Time for change #warmthiswinter
