After going for the bat acoustic software training in Canmore, I ran the software on bat data from back home in Peace River to find some interesting results just in time for Bat Week! #BatWeek #BatWeek2019 @WildlifeAcoust #AlbertaBats

Don't tell the Mrs. but I was excited to see this black bear eating berries close by. It only fell out of the tree once while I was watching. #albertawildlife #albertacanada #explorealberta #blackbear

Fall is always a good season to watch the sun set, have the moon shine bright and watch a bull elk go walking by. What do you look forward to each fall?
What's the best thing about shorebird migration? ... Hard to identify plovers. #shorebirds #birdingphotography #birdwatching #explorebc
Haven't seen one of these endangered owls since I was a kid at my aunt & uncle's ranch in southern Alberta... and this BC owl is wearing more bling than my wife... #Owls #beautifulbc #explorebc #Kamloops
Would you rather hang out with this little fella or 1000 mosquitoes? #batsrule #biodiversity #pestcontrol

The artificial and mobile version of a mineral lick that was located by a couple of deer.
A sample of the kestrel nest boxes that have found their way across the west to be new homes for kestrels.

After being in the field for weeks putting up boxes for the BC kestrel nest box program I will have some choice words for anyone who wakes me up ... I may even drop the “please” in “please be quiet” #kestrels #birdboxes
It’s been a wee bit rainy and dreary on the coast the past few days installing kestrel boxes. Now a hopefully dry final push to finish in the interior.#kestrels #BirdBox
I’d say those cows are giving the kestrel nest box their nod of approval #kestrel #Cattle #beef
My first tamarack box. I have a number of new tree species hosting a kestrel box in southern B.C. #kestrel #birdbox

There are cat people and there are dog people and then there’s poultry people... I must say I do quite enjoy seeing the various chicken, turkey, duck and goose breeds at people places when I stop by to install a kestrel box(es). #poultry #chickens #kestrel #birdboxes
It’s an interesting drive through Chetwynd and seeing the wooden sculptures throughout the town on your way to various places to put up kestrel boxes. #kestrel #chetwynd #birdboxes
