As Marxism, relativism, and gender ideology gain greater prominence and become normative in many schools, colleges, and universities, @HoughtonUniv in Western New York remains courageously grounded in unchanging truth and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. #Courageous

Be sure to congratulate Houghton’s field hockey, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, and women’s volleyball teams on their hard earned spots in post-season tournaments.
We’re proud of our Highlanders, but even more grateful that we’ve not had to earn God’s mercy and grace.
Have a great week, Highlanders! #MissionMonday #Jesus

Welcome to Houghton, Professor Emily Meloon.
After graduating from Houghton with her bachelor’s degree in 2003, Professor Meloon has returned to campus as a new faculty member in the Education Department.
From meeting her husband here as a student to now investing in future educators, Emily’s Houghton story has come full circle.
She’s excited to equip students with the tools, confidence, and sense of calling they need to make an impact in the classroom.
Our Christian faith is not supposed to be lived in isolation. One of the Lord’s greatest gifts to us is each other.
Have a great week, friends! Appreciate and enjoy each other.

This past Saturday, friends and family of the late Dr. Ben King gathered at Houghton University's Center for the Arts for the unveiling of his portrait. Dr. King served as vocal professor, opera workshop director and director and dean of the Greatbatch School of Music for more than two decades.
The event was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Dr. King's enduring legacy at Houghton and the lasting impact he had on generations of students, colleagues, and friends. We are deeply grateful for the influence he had on our community and for this beautiful tribute that will help preserve his memory for years to come.

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Mathew 5:14-16
Recovery from the fire this summer at the Nielsen Center has been complicated. The Lord is undoubtedly teaching us some things through it. Houghton University will emerge stronger and better.
