Australian officials have issued a reminder to shut your car doors after one wombat helped himself to several passenger seats. The notice followed complaints from visitors at a popular picnic area, where the same wombat reportedly kept climbing into parked cars while people unloaded bags or packed up lunch. At first, staff thought they were receiving several calls about one incident. Then they realized the cars were different. The passenger wasn’t. One couple waited nearly an hour before he climbed out. Another visitor said he settled into the seat before she’d even finished putting her things in the boot. Officials asked visitors to keep their doors closed and contact staff if they found an unexpected occupant. After the photos spread online, a park spokesperson clarified the situation. “He hasn’t been abandoned. He lives here. Please stop calling to say someone’s left their wombat in a car.”

Seuraavaksi Kushner haluaa lisätä sotilaallisen toiminnan avoimuutta. Euroopassa on tätäkin varten sovittu sotaharjoitusten ennakkoilmoituksista, tarkastuksista ja luottamusta lisäävistä järjestelyistä. Venäjä on kuitenkin toistuvasti kiertänyt tai rikkonut niihin liittyviä velvoitteitaan. Ongelma ei siis ole siinä, ettemme olisi keksineet näitä mekanismeja aikaisemmin. Ongelma on siinä, miten saamme Venäjän noudattamaan niitä.

Literally no one wants this.
Spotify just announced a feature that could either save the music industry or destroy it. Starting as early as Q1 2027, Spotify Premium subscribers will be able to use AI to transform any participating artist’s song into a completely different version. Turn a folk ballad into a dance track. Make a hip-hop song sound acoustic. Generate a cover where one artist’s voice performs another artist’s song. Remix a pop hit into lo-fi study music. Create the version of your favorite song that only existed in your head until now. The remixes will be uploaded directly to Spotify. They’ll appear in playlists. They’ll count toward the original song’s chart position. And most importantly the original artist will earn royalties every time someone listens to a fan-created remix of their work. Spotify has already signed a landmark licensing deal with Universal Music Group the world’s largest record label. Negotiations with Sony Music and Warner Music are ongoing. The feature will cost an additional $4–$5/month on top of Spotify Premium. And analysts project 7–8% of American subscribers will adopt it by 2028. This is not Suno or Udio generating music from text prompts. This is fans remixing real songs by real artists with the artists’ permission, on the world’s largest streaming platform, with royalties flowing back to the creators. A music industry analyst who’s covered streaming economics for 15 years told her team something after reading the licensing agreement that reframed how she understood the future of recorded music. “Spotify just turned 640 million listeners into 640 million potential remixers. The question isn’t whether people will use it they will. The question is whether paying artists for fan remixes solves the economics of streaming or creates a world where the original recording is worth less than the infinite remixes generated from it.” Here’s what Spotify’s AI remix feature actually is, who wins, who loses, and why this might be the most consequential decision in the music industry since the launch of streaming itself 🧵

Our Brexiter friend @waiting4WAM here thinks that harder barriers to trade & growth against a market reduce trade & growth into that market...& vice versa... is my "belief, not a fact"... Brexiters really are demented & will deny all facts & logic to reconcile it with their cult belief. (my latest contender @Riggs_martin @Claret_Badger )
That's your belief, not a fact.

Regulatory & customs borders between different legally regulated & customs territories are the (world defaulted status) hardest of barriers to trade & growth.. Only removed by agreeing a single market of regulations & customs union with another. The UK by leaving its SM & CU with the EU27 automatically resurrected these hardest of borders/barriers..but @waiting4WAM considers it to be the work of a "venegeful EU" FFS. Ignorant idiots like this, is why the UK is in such a continued fucking mess...after a fucking decade now. There really should be an IQ test for any future referendum.

With the EU? Yes they do cause harm, that's why the vengeful EU stood them up after Brexit. The EU isn't the only place we trade, the whole world is out there. The EU is shrinking, I'm happy that we're not shrinking with it.

Remembering Bolton steeplejack, Fred Dibnah, who passed away on this day in 2004 and who, by some miracle, didn't pass away a hell of a lot earlier than that from doing things like this. Clearly, a fearless master of his trade. As well as absolutely FUCKING. MENTAL.

Stupid rapist supporter
Russell Brand may or may not be guilty but that is not why he is going to jail. He is going to jail because he exposed the corruption of the Covid lockdown & 'vaccines' con, The Great Reset, the WEF & the war in Ukraine. Before he did that, there were no allegations against him
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
A jury found Russell Brand guilty on 5 Nov 2026 of rape and three sexual assaults (2004-09); he awaits sentencing in custody. Prior complaints existed, e.g. 2009 to Channel 4, 2018 by Katherine Ryan, and 2020 to his agency about a 2006 case. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… theguardian.com/culture/2023/s…

🇨🇳 🇺🇸 Imagine China invades the United States. Chinese troops occupy Alaska. Chinese missiles destroy American cities, power stations and hospitals. Beijing complains that Washington has been behaving provocatively by refusing to surrender. President Donald Trump appears on television, desperately appealing to Europe for help. Europe’s response? “Donald, shut up. You don’t have the cards. You’re in a very bad position. You should be grateful we’re even talking to you.” Then a Chinese missile strikes an elementary school in Washington. Dozens of American children are killed. A European leader is asked whether Beijing should be held responsible. “Look, it’s terrible. Absolutely terrible. But we must remember that people are dying on both sides. Chinese soldiers are being killed by American troops, too. We cannot simply blame China because some American children have died. We need to understand the legitimate security concerns of both countries.” Meanwhile, reports emerge that 50,000 American children have been forcibly taken by Chinese occupation forces. Children from Ohio, Kentucky, Kansas and Texas have been transported to China, separated from their parents and placed with Chinese families. Europe urges everyone to remain calm. “Frankly, some of these children have been placed with better Chinese families. Very respectable people. Lovely homes. We mustn’t allow emotional arguments about children to derail the peace process.” Trump demands their immediate return. European leaders roll their eyes. “Honestly, the man is exhausting. Every time we speak to Trump, it’s the same bloody thing. Anti-aircraft missiles, air defence systems, ammunition, weapons, weapons, weapons. Can’t he just shut up for five minutes? We’re trying to negotiate peace here.” Meanwhile, Europe demands that Washington immediately stop attacking Chinese oil refineries and military infrastructure. “American strikes are escalating the conflict and threatening global energy prices. Beijing needs reassurance that its infrastructure will be protected.” China continues systematically destroying America’s electricity grid, bridges and railway networks. Europe calls for restraint. From America, naturally. European envoys then fly to Beijing to negotiate lucrative deals involving gas from occupied Alaska and a magnificent new North American security architecture. “We must address China’s legitimate security concerns. Perhaps America could withdraw its troops from certain states and reconsider its military alliances. After all, Beijing has genuine concerns about American military forces operating so close to Chinese positions.” The Chinese positions are in Texas. Trump protests that nobody has asked the Americans what they think. “Donald, we’re negotiating peace. Please stop being difficult. China’s security concerns are just as legitimate as yours.” Eventually, Brussels announces a historic agreement with Beijing determining the future of North America. The Americans are invited to applaud. Now, if this sounds like foreign policy devised by a committee of spectacularly incompetent estate agents attempting to sell a house while its owners are being murdered upstairs, congratulations. Your brain is functioning. In modern American diplomacy, the country invading its neighbour deserves security guarantees, commercial opportunities and understanding. And the children? Well, there are always two sides to every story. The moral collapse of a government. Stay connected, follow @Microinteracti1

This account by @DanNeidle of Russell Brand's use of an injunction to silence (and bankrupt) a woman who accused him of assaulting her is shocking. She wasn't even allowed to talk about it to the police or to medics other than named individuals. taxpolicy.org.uk/2026/11/07/…

This guy is everywhere denying the adverse impact of resurrecting the hardest of barriers to trade & growth against 27 neighbours (Brexit) without removing them equally against any other... Paid troll?? Nobody should forget Brexit was sold to us in 2016 as *improving* everybody's life ..not "there will be damage, but not quite as bad as some suggest". Vote Leave: (the truth) "all will be variably made worse off (the less affluent & those in manufacturing & producing material goods, disproportionately the worst), but don't worry there will be adequate food for all & nobody will starve (we hope)" A winning vote @FurnessSmithC ?

And yet the economic damage of Brexit has been immaterial after 5 years
