Our horse embryo sold for $26k
Thats pretty wild. Currently the second highest sale at the auction.
Scaling the creation of life as an industry is a dream.

High bid for our embryo is $16,000 with 30 minutes to go!
A horse cycles every two weeks. If you have in house egg/oocyte extraction it means that every two weeks you can create 1-3 embryos. If you can select the best mares (we can) you can sell those for $20K+, it prints money

Current bid $9000 5h and 30m to go

Why do we work with horses? Horses are a great market that allows us to make embryos and animals that sell for lots money while building out the infrastructure to go from genomics to higher performing animal. With the ability to do everything from, whole genome sequencing and analysis, extract oocytes/eggs and cycle large animals, IVF, embryo maturation, implantation, gestation and gene editing. We can scale horses to significant revenue quickly and then start to use this technology on other large animals like cattle. In fact we own a few cattle that we are beginning to build out the same workflow for using the infrastructure and knowledge we already have.
Each generation provides new data and better performance and as we push boundaries our animals can do more and more whether that is for sport, agriculture or companionship.
A unicorn is our mascot not because we think it will helo the world but because if we can make a unicorn it means our platform can make so much more.

I don’t mean to be a hater, and genuinely admire the work you have done, but what’s the benefit of this other than winning someone bets?
Are you developing new tools along the way that can be applied to improving health, human or otherwise

We're bringing genomic selection to horse breeding. This may be the first time an auction includes actual genetic variant data, not just pedigree.
Bid now on an embryo from our stakes winning mare Wheely, with variants in genes like Growth hormone LCORL and MYBPC1.

Tomorrow our first AI/genetically selected embryo goes for sale at a live public auction
This embryo was bred based on our AI/ML model predictions. We have the largest dataset of horse genomes in the world and a massive performance dataset that we use to predict performance

Our first genetically selected horse embryos going up for public auction on Sunday! Expecting it to sell for $35k+
Wheely is a really fast stakes broodmare we purchased after we found she had a variant in her growth hormone that could possibly create speed and size advantages

Oh wow, so you're building a "matter compiler"? Cute. We're programming self-replicating matter at scale, arguably the most sophisticated technology in existence. Betcha you can't do that

We are the only company in the world that can reliably produce valuable animals at scale across species.
We make CRISPR knockout mice one-shot in-utero in 30 minutes with a protocol so easy the undergrads just out of university do it and no animals die. Great for prototyping

We bought Stoli the Goods(lane 1 red) based on her genetics. Our models predicted she was undervalued. This is her first race back after two months off with an injury, after a 1st and a 3rd place, against a tough lineup of more experienced horses. She did amazing.

"Days earlier, on the highway with the racehorse rattling behind us, I’d asked her how you even begin to imagine an animal that has never existed.
It’s like being a good artist, she told me. “You experiment at the edges of the known, and you pull out the unknown."

The thing about working with embryos is that once you build the workflow for one mammal you can slot in others pretty easy

Despite AI advances people still don't value data enough. The next gen of massive companies will be in industries where data can be leveraged for outsized value

California politicians are trying to ban glowing cats and neon rabbits…
But there’s zero evidence gene-editing pets causes harm, and as @josiezayner writes, we’ll never learn anything about genetics if we regulate it out of for-profit industry. 👇
