Mid-Michigan: last night, we made history.
We built an unprecedented movement here in Mid-Michigan, powered by thousands of volunteers. We stood together to say no to war and data centers, and yes to good housing and healthcare.

He campaigned hard on fighting data centers, taking on billionaires, and making life more affordable for the working class.
Thank you to Tom Barrett for his service to our country in the armed forces and elected office. I was glad to receive Tom's gracious call last night.
I look forward to working with him during the transition to serve everyone in Mid-Michigan, regardless of party.
I called William Lawrence last night after 2 a.m. to offer my concession and congratulations. I’m disappointed in the outcome but I’m proud of my team and the campaign we ran. In the worst year for Republicans in decades, and after the most spending against me of any Republican member of Congress in the nation, we came closer than any competitive district in the country.
I deeply appreciate the trust the voters placed in me to be their voice in Congress. There is not a single day that I have taken it for granted. I had the best campaign team and the best congressional staff a member could ever ask for or expect.
I’m proud to have voted against war, to secure our border, to support law enforcement and public safety, and to cut taxes for working families.
Thank you to everyone who supported me and stood with me in this fight to save our country. While this is a tough setback I refuse to give up on America.
