My take is SNE has already seen peak heat (early July)
Don’t see us getting back up to the 100s unless August somehow pulls it off (unlikely IMO)
Been like this past several years it seems, 2020s have brought us a late June/early July heatwave each summer then moderates
Wake up babe, it's the southern New England weather conference

Pretty rather substantial failure by the ai modeling with the offshore low this week. Physics based modeling was never interested in impacts from it. Ai insisted and failed.
We’ve nearly achieved the elusive “no rain anywhere in the CONUS” besides a few light showers out west and in S Florida
Lmao models are being so silly
Its only deterministic GFS but really does seem like models try to push for classic El Nino warm eastern North America and then get adjusted in the short/mid range
I believe its connected to the EPO, when I saw strong -EPO and warmth, signals just didn’t add up
Now the -EPO remains and models seem to have more realistic grasp on evolution

Folks do not seem to grasp that the low itself, a storm, is not classified (as a nor'easter.)
The term simply refers to strong persistent north east winds along the coastal communities.
You actually do not need a low to have a nor'easter. A stalled continental high can duplicate.

Contrary to social media dismissal of the initial NOAA Winter 2026-2027 seasonal forecast, NOAA's forecasts for the last two strong El Niños were not too warm. The forecast should not be dismissed out of hand to confirm one's hopes or biases.

NOAA came out with their winter forecast, no surprise with the result; so here's your annual reminder of their forecasts and what actually happened.
It’s happening! First “widespread” snow in New England this season ❄️ 🎉
Temperatures marginal so likely light to no accumulation expected except in higher elevations/far northern Maine
