Injective just put the price of AI compute onchain with the Super Intelligence Compute Index ($SICI). The index tracks hourly rental rates for five NVIDIA GPUs at fixed weights: H100 40%, B200 25%, H200 15%, A100 10%, and RTX 4090 10%. LO:TECH builds it from marketplace data with validation and outlier controls, rebases it to 100 from the July 22 fixing, and updates hourly. It is already live as a perpetual on Injective with up to 10x leverage and USDC as margin. This converts fragmented GPU rental pricing into one tradable benchmark. AI developers can hedge rising training and inference costs while providers can manage revenue risk without relying on bilateral deals. It sits next to Injective’s existing pre-IPO perps for companies like OpenAI and Anthropic, so the same venue now covers both the model builders and the infrastructure powering them. The practical test is whether open interest concentrates on the higher-weight datacenter GPUs once desks start using it for inventory management, or whether flow spreads across the full basket including the consumer 4090. Watch how quickly the first sustained open interest builds on the H100 and B200 components once more platforms integrate the index for hedging.

AI agents can now hold a balance and settle payments for APIs, data feeds, and other agents in fractions of a cent on Bitcoin mainnet without a human approving each transaction. Lightning Labs opened its Wavelength toolkit to everyone on mainnet. Each wallet starts capped at 300,000 sats, with a 0.25% service fee on Lightning sends and receives. It remains in alpha, stablecoin support is planned next, and developers can wire it through MCP without running nodes or managing channels. This gives the agent economy a self-custodial Bitcoin settlement option that sits alongside the existing USDC and x402 activity concentrated on Base. Early adoption will show whether agents lean into Lightning for repeated small buys or stay on the chains that already have the densest agent tooling and liquidity. Curious how quickly the first wave of agent wallets gets funded once more builders add the MCP tools, and whether Lightning or the current USDC rails end up carrying more of the initial machine-to-machine volume.

xStocks tokenized stocks just crossed $1B in onchain market cap per Token Terminal, up 802.5% over the past year. Solana leads with $523.1M, followed by X Layer at $304.1M and Ethereum at 165.1M. Top individual assets are STRCx ($144.7M), MSTRx ($124.4M) and CRCLx ($108.4M). Strategy common and preferred together account for 269.1M. The Kraken-affiliated issuer launched in mid-2025 with roughly 60 assets and now supports more than 1,300 tickers across 11 chains. That moves tokenized equity from limited pilot wrappers to multi-chain exposure that trades and settles continuously instead of waiting for traditional market hours. The practical shift is that liquidity is concentrating on a few high-throughput chains while the overall category keeps expanding. Watch how quickly Solana’s share of the next $500M grows relative to X Layer and Ethereum once more platforms integrate the tokens into lending and perps.

Mastercard opened early access to Agent Pay for Machines so AI agents can discover services, agree terms, and pay within human set spending limits using x402 signed vouchers, with settlement on Base through Coinbase wallets and BVNK in USDC or fiat. This puts a major card network behind the same open protocol that already handled more than 138 million payments on Base, most under 10 cents. Agents can now complete repeated purchases from one approved budget without separate accounts, API keys, or invoices while businesses keep control through pre set caps and allowlists. The Cloudflare Connect demo showed one agent making nine payments to two merchants from a single budget. The practical shift is that traditional payment infrastructure and onchain settlement now share the same agent flow instead of operating in parallel. Merchants receive a verified payment promise before delivering the service, and final settlement can batch on Base. That compresses the gap between agent intent and actual money movement for digital services, data, and tools.

Hong Kong’s treasury secretary says tokenization is moving from experiments to implementation as HKEX targets a 2027 pilot for tokenized commodity warehouse receipts as collateral with designated banks. This shifts RWA past treasuries and equities into trade finance. Physical metal or goods already sitting in approved warehouses can back working capital faster through DLT instead of paper or slow electronic receipts. Banks gain a clearer onchain collateral path while commodity traders get potential continuous access without exiting the position.

EQX tokenized spot equities open for trading on Hyperliquid Monday, October 26 at 9:30 AM ET. The first eleven markets cover EQSPY, EQQQQ, EQNVDA, EQAAPL, EQMSFT, EQAMZN, EQGOOG, EQMETA, EQTSLA, EQMU and EQSPCX. They trade as native HIP-1 tokens against USDC on Hyperliquid’s public order book, available 24/7 with settlement under one second. Each token is backed 1:1 by actual shares held at DTC-connected custodians (Alpaca, StoneX, Clear Street). EQX adds no issuer fees on top of Hyperliquid’s standard spot fee. Dividends reinvest automatically and holders can signal voting via onchain signature. The instruments are limited-recourse notes from a BVI segregated portfolio issuer rather than direct share ownership and are not offered to US persons. Hyperliquid @HyperliquidX already runs equity perps. Putting real share-backed spot on the same matching engine lets traders run basis, hedge, or move collateral without leaving the venue or waiting for US market hours. That is the practical shift: continuous order-book access to the underlying next to the derivatives instead of separate platforms or synthetic wrappers. Watch how fast volume and depth build on the new EQX spot books versus the existing equity perps once Monday’s open hits and which names pull the deepest liquidity first.

Ethereum @ethereum just postponed the Glamsterdam upgrade on its Hoodi testnet, canceling the October 26 activation after ChainSecurity flagged gas accounting changes that can turn temporary failures into permanent ones. The upgrade was set to raise Hoodi’s gas limit to 200 million and enshrine proposer-builder separation. ChainSecurity found 13 real-world contracts where the new rules (EIP-8037 and EIP-8038) let failure handlers complete paths that previously reverted, locking in outcomes that should have stayed retryable. Developers pulled the fork during ACDE #248 to investigate further. Sepolia already activated on October 6, but Hoodi was the last public test before mainnet. This keeps December mainnet candidates (Dec 1, 8, or 9) on hold until the interaction with existing contracts is fully mapped. Node operators on Hoodi need updated clients; mainnet users see no change. The delay prioritizes contract safety over the L1 scaling timeline. Watch whether the Ethereum Foundation sets a new Hoodi date before the end of the month and how many additional contracts surface during the review.

Securitize @Securitize confirmed today that 12 major U.S. stocks including Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla are live on Solana for eligible investors in the U.S., EU, and other permitted jurisdictions, each backed 1:1 by an underlying share that is never lent out. This puts regulated equity exposure onchain without synthetic wrappers or rehypothecation of the underlying shares. Securitize already manages more than $4B in tokenized assets for institutions including BlackRock, so the structure comes from an established issuer rather than a fresh experiment. The products expand the set of high-quality names that can sit directly in Solana wallets and potentially interact with existing onchain liquidity without leaving the network. The practical test is whether real trading volume and holder growth follow the announcement, especially among U.S. participants who have had more limited direct options until now. Curious how quickly daily volume on these Securitize Stocks builds versus other Solana equity tokens and whether the explicit no-lending design draws larger position sizes in the next two weeks.

Polymarket just parted ways with its CMO after an internal review of marketing that included a fake webpage promoting staged videos of users profiting from phony trades. The probe, which began earlier this year, also examined undisclosed influencer payments routed through a personal account. The CFTC opened its own investigation following a June Wall Street Journal report and has not yet reached a finding. Prediction markets only work when participants trust that the prices reflect real activity rather than promotional theater. Removing the executive responsible for those tactics reduces one source of regulatory and reputational risk as the platform scales and weighs a potential IPO. The practical question is whether the cleanup is enough to keep volume and active traders steady once the story is fully absorbed. Watch the next monthly volume figures and any shift in the ratio of new versus returning traders.

Verdex opened onchain covered calls so holders of any tokenized stock can collect premium while the position is written and settled entirely onchain. This puts basic equity options mechanics onto the same rails that already hold the underlying tokens instead of forcing yield strategies off platform or into synthetic wrappers. Holders now have a native path to monetize rangebound moves without exiting the position or routing through traditional brokers. Liquidity and open interest still need to build for the premiums to stay attractive once more writers and takers show up on both sides. The practical test is whether enough tokenized-stock holders actually write calls to create usable liquidity, or whether the market stays thin until larger venues add similar native options.
