Everybody is talking about how bad the Web3 job market is. Projects want to underpay you, delay payments, or expect you to work for free.
Yet someone will publicly announce that they’re willing to work for free in 2026. 😭
FREE WORK. IN THIS ECONOMY.
The time to build your proof of work through unpaid opportunities was when you were still trying to establish yourself. If you already have the skills and experience, why are you still offering to work for free?
And don’t even get me started on underpricing.
A job that someone else would charge $500 a week for, you’ll accept $70 or $80 for because you’re desperate to make money.
I understand that everybody needs to survive, but we need to stop making desperation the reason we accept anything people offer us.
You cannot complain about a market that undervalues your work while actively making it easier for that market to keep doing so.
