"ser, onchain is dying, there is no liquidity"
there always was, and still is, liquidity
but a lot of it is being extracted and farmed by people who have automated launches, especially on Solana through Pumpfun
look at these stats @bandosei put together, it's insane, $128M from 25 different deployers alone
good teams and devs are still out there building, but with so much noise in the space, it’s harder to find them and harder for them to survive

markets are dumping today
it's the best time to stick to your DCA plan and gradually build positions in projects and blue chips you believe in long term

After Thursday’s tweet, I decided to double my $FOLD position.
The chart could not be looking better, already up 2x.
But beyond the chart, for those who do not know me yet, I have always been a big advocate for privacy.
@theInterfold is one I see as a strong long-term hold.
This launch has been low-key and not many talking about it, but I bought a bag of ethereum:0xe172e9b6cfbeeb5593bdce3f077356fdb33af904 on $ETH (full deep dive to come soon). Current mcap at $19M while FDV at $70M
@theInterfold Network Alpha just went live:
• Confidential coordination live on mainnet
• Private inputs → verifiable outputs
• No trusted hardware
• Ciphernodes + governance coming next
Quietly one of the more interesting privacy infra launches this cycle. Vitalik has publicly backed the tech.

Guess who is now only 20% away from hitting $1,000?
$ZEC of course 🔥
Nearly 100% up on the monthly chart and the RSI is still sitting around 70.
Send it higher

After the zcash:native incident, I bought even more @Zcash.
People in my comments were shorting it and making fun of my buys.
Then there is hyperliquid:native
@HyperliquidX is one of the protocols that keeps proving itself and teaching the rest how things are done.
Hold my beer sers!

I’ve always been a utility and numbers guy.
But man, there are some genuinely good memes out there.
Look at $ANSEM ’s growth so far. It has been a solid hold compared with the many farms and rugs out there.

Been observing and reading some stuff over the past few months about DeFi.
Most people still write it off as pure gambling.
I don’t, and here are my two cents.
In my opinion DeFi is one of the few concepts (with RWA being another one) in crypto that actually works the way it was supposed to. You can put money to work without asking anyone, move it when something feels off, and pick your own risk level. Banks don’t let you do that. They gatekeep everything, with too many restrictions and limitations.
Yeah I know, there’s been plenty of shit that went wrong with exploits and so on. There will be more down the road, hence the protocols from their side should prioritise security no matter what!
Just don’t confuse real DeFi with protocols promising insane returns and offering zero explanation for where the money comes from. That’s the gambling part.
Still early and it will keep growing!

From our recent Twitter Space AMA with @OrchardDotGold, the team broke down how the game works:
• Win real synthetic Apple stock, no $SEED required to participate
• Nominal game fees are used for token buybacks and burns, reducing supply
• VRF technology powers fair, verifiable and reliable game results
• At the time of the AMA, TVL was around $70,000, with an estimated 137% APR. These figures may have changed since then.
Chart-wise, it is looking strong and gaining momentum.
Now is a great time to revisit the full X Space AMA with the team.

Congrats to the @AxisFDN team, $50M in Origin Vault deposits filled in just 22 hours, that escalated quickly.
Axis is a protocol that tokenizes institutional‑grade, market‑neutral arbitrage strategies. They’ve got a transparency tab on their site where you can see Asset & Venue Breakdown, track performance, and review their Proof of Reserves (which is very much needed nowadays).
The cap has now been increased to $100M, with the multiplier reduced to 1.75x from 2x at launch.
Keep in mind that Origin Vault closes on August 5, 2PM UTC, or when the new cap fills, whichever comes first.
What's worth noting though now, is that Referrals have just gone live too.
The best part about these referrals is that they are not one‑sided, but in this case both parties win. We’ve set up our referral so users get the maximum rewards possible, you earn an extra 15%.

Privacy is not just a narrative.
You are going to see a lot more of these kinds of rollouts from other countries too, this is only the beginning.
The crazy part is that, founders could face up to 5 years in prison if they do not comply with the law.
BREAKING: The UK is drafting a law to scan every photo, video and message on every phone in the country.
Tech CEOs who refuse to implement this could face up to 5 years in prison.
The proposal would force companies to build device level scanners that inspect content before encryption.
That means:
• Every image scanned
• Every message inspected
• Every video analyzed
All directly on your phone.
Governments and companies pushing these safety” systems already have a terrible track record protecting user data.
Last month, Europe’s new age verification app, promoted as a way to "keep children safe," was hacked in under 2 minutes.
In another case, over 70,000 IDs and selfies linked to online verification systems were exposed in a major breach.
Now the UK wants even deeper access directly inside your device.
Once governments force surveillance tools into every phone, they can expand what gets monitored at any time.

People will always have opinions, maybe same or different like yours.. Though, you should always do your own research and build your own conviction.
At the end of the day, it’s your money and don’t let someone else’s exit shake your thesis.
zcash:native has been performing really well after all what happened. Spot position is up +50% and +65% from the $280 entry.
Always remember to protect your capital, trim profits when it's needed, it's your money!
Definitely today's zcash:native chart ain't the best one out there.
BUT this was a good opportunity to load more around the $280 area. If any more dips come, it's load time.
Same with $NEAR, I've been buying more at $2
Both long term holdings, hold and chill 🫡

This “essay” from @CryptoHayes is one of the best reads in a long time, worth reading in full on Substack. 🙌
AI build‑out, war, and just‑in‑case supply chains are all the same trade: structurally looser dollar & yuan liquidity for the rest of the decade.
If Arthur’s right and $60K bitcoin:native was the floor with $126K a “foregone conclusion”, this is the part of the cycle where you close your eyes, press buy, and let the liquidity do the talking.
Hint hint... near:native 👀
My newest essay "The Butterfly Touch":
The seductive sensation of expectation permeates my body as the incipient bull market gently caresses my soul. As I jubilantly press the buy button, I know speculative excesses will propel my portfolio to new heights … at least until the maddening crowd awakens from its drunken reverie to reel in its optimism of a more glorious future and the physics of gravity reasserts itself over human financial markets.
The future, as foretold by the gaggle of cheerleaders this time around, is replete with AI agents running amok, producing a thought to be unlimited economic bounty. The new masters of the universe, American and Chinese tech bros, build a substrate from which AI emerges into existence. Ensconced in their silicon encrusted palaces in San Francisco and Hangzhou their companies hoover up all available capital to build heaven on earth, at least for their shareholders and The Party, and when capital becomes scarce berate the political class of this era to support the printing of dollars and yuan to further extend their prowess.
An orgy of construction focused on creating an AI utopia is not the only raging party. Another type of bro revels in the erection of a global edifice of death. Why should Pax Americana be the only purveyor of pain? Their glorious nation requires the most badass means to exterminate the enemies of the state because one cannot rely upon the mercurial permanently tanned emperor to rush to the assistance of his supposed allies. Therefore, it is essential to build bombs using printed money and conscript young men to face death for the glory of … I don’t know what.
...
Let this essay permit the bull in your soul to emerge out of its cocoon and fly towards a profitable future, even as many untouchables in the global south, because of the wartime disruption in the flow of essential commodities, starve to death in the shadows where mainstream media refuses to shine a light on.

hyperliquid:native | @HyperliquidX is absolutely smashing it.
~$985M annualized fees
$906M annualized revenue
30‑day: ~$54.8M fees on $172.6B perp volume
#5 in all of crypto by fees, behind only Tether, Circle, Pump.fun & Aave – ahead of Lido, Uniswap and every other DEX.

Over the past 2 years, the #RWA sector has grown more than 10x – from roughly $2B in May 2024 to over $25B Mcap today.
And this is happening largely outside the usual crypto hype cycles – tokenized treasuries, credit and commodities are quietly becoming real infrastructure.

This is tough as AI is already replacing a lot of jobs out there, and we see it happening now at @coinbase too.
But I’ve got to ask @brian_armstrong… was this email itself written by AI?
This is an email I sent earlier today to all employees at Coinbase:
Team,
Today I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce the size of Coinbase by ~14%. I want to walk you through why we're doing this now, what it means for those affected, and how this positions us for the future.
Why now
Two forces are converging at the same time. We need to be front footed to respond to both.
First, the market. Coinbase is well-capitalized, has diversified revenue streams, and is well-positioned to weather any storm. Crypto is also on the verge of the next wave of adoption, with stablecoins, prediction markets, tokenization, and more taking off. However, our business is still volatile from quarter to quarter. While we've managed through that cyclicality many times before and come out stronger on the other side, we’re currently in a down market and need to adjust our cost structure now so that we emerge from this period leaner, faster, and more efficient for our next phase of growth.
Second, AI is changing how we work. Over the past year, I’ve watched engineers use AI to ship in days what used to take a team weeks. Non-technical teams are now shipping production code and many of our workflows are being automated. The pace of what's possible with a small, focused team has changed dramatically, and it's accelerating every day.
All of this has led us to an inflection point, not just for Coinbase, but for every company. The biggest risk now is not taking action. We are adjusting early and deliberately to rebuild Coinbase to be lean, fast, and AI-native. We need to return to the speed and focus of our startup founding, with AI at our core.
What this means
To get there, we are not just reducing headcount and cutting costs, we’re fundamentally changing how we operate: rebuilding Coinbase as an intelligence, with humans around the edge aligning it. What does this mean in practice?
- Fewer layers, faster decisions: We are flattening our org structure to 5 layers max below CEO/COO. Layers slow things down and create coordination tax. The future is small, high context teams that can move quickly. Leaders will own much more, with as many as 15+ direct reports. Fewer layers also means a leaner cost structure that is built to perform through all market cycles.
- No pure managers: Every leader at Coinbase must also be a strong and active individual contributor. Managers should be like player-coaches, getting their hands dirty alongside their teams.
- AI-native pods: We’ll be concentrating around AI-native talent who can manage fleets of agents to drive outsized impact. We’ll also be experimenting with reduced pod sizes, including “one person teams” with engineers, designers, and product managers all in one role.
In short: AI is bringing a profound shift in how companies operate, and we’re reshaping Coinbase to lead in this new era. This is a new way of working, and we need to leverage AI across every facet of our jobs.
To those who are affected
I know there are real people behind these decisions — talented colleagues who have poured themselves into this company and our mission. To those of you who will be leaving: thank you. You’ve helped build Coinbase into what it is today, and I am sincerely grateful for everything you've done.
All impacted team members will receive an email to their personal account in the next hour with more information, and an invitation to meet with an HRBP and a senior leader in your organization. Coinbase system access has been removed today. I know this feels sudden and harsh, but it is the only responsible choice given our duty to protect customer information.
To those affected, we will be providing a comprehensive package to support you through this transition. US employees will receive a minimum of 16 weeks base pay (plus 2 weeks per year worked), their next equity vest, and 6 months of COBRA. Employees on a work visa will get extra transition support. Those outside of the US will receive similar support, based on local factors and subject to any consultation requirements.
Coinbase prides itself on talent density. Our employees are among the most talented people in the world, and I have no doubt that your skills and experience will be highly sought after as you pursue your next chapters.
How we move forward
To the team that is staying, I know this is a difficult day. We’re saying goodbye to colleagues and friends you've been in the trenches with. But here’s what I want you to know as we move forward together:
Over the past 13 years, we have weathered four crypto winters, gone public, and built the most trusted platform in our industry. We’ve made it this far by making hard decisions and by always staying focused on our mission. This time will be no different – nothing has changed about the long term outlook of our company or industry. And most importantly, our mission has never been more important for the world. Increasing economic freedom requires a new financial system, and we’re building it.
The Coinbase that emerges from this will be more capable than ever to achieve our mission.
