Temps hovered near zero for #WinterWalktoSchoolDay on Feb. 1, but that didn’t stop St. Anthony Park Elementary from celebrating! A bus stop and walk event with a walk through beautiful Langford Park was a great way to get an active start to the day. #SPPSWalks #SPPSSafeRoutes

SPPS blender bikes were busy blending up smoothies at EXPO last week, as students wrapped up Naturethon 2022. As popular as ever, the blender bike is a great way to get some physical activity and enjoy a healthy treat. Think about pedal power for your next school celebration!

Lots of opportunity for physical activity at the John A. Johnson-Bruce Vento merging schools event last week. Children's book, "Layla's Happiness," was available, thanks to SPPL, in Story Walk form and the smoothie blender bike proved it's still a perennial favorite. #SPPSMoves

Time to be grateful for these busy workers. They may be mini in size but their importance extends far beyond honey. Get buzzing and support bees by planting pollinator gardens. #SPPSGrowsGardens
Last week staff from SPPS, @stpaulpublicw, @MnDOT, and @altafieldnotes installed temporary bumpouts at Bruce Vento Elementary, testing out a treatment to make it safer for walking and biking to school. Permanent improvements are coming in 2023! #SPPSSafeRoutes #SPPSWalks&Rolls
