⚠️❄️ Winter Driving Advisory
Road conditions are deteriorating across #Ontario today due to freezing rain, snow and ice, making travel unpredictable. The #OPP urges everyone to avoid travel unless necessary. Staying home helps keep roads safe for all.
If travel is essential:
✅ Reduce your speed and leave extra space between vehicles
✅ Follow Slow Down and Move Over laws near emergency vehicles or roadside stops
✅ Give yourself extra time to reach your destination safely
✅ Clear your vehicle of ice and snow before leaving
✅ Turn on your full headlights, even during the daytime
✅ Ensure your vehicle has a full tank of gas and your cell phone is charged
✅ Pack an emergency kit with extra clothes and blankets, a cell phone charger, food and water
Before you leave, stay informed:
➡️ Road conditions: 511on.ca
➡️ Weather updates: weather.gc.ca
In case of emergency, call 911. For non-emergency police matters, contact the OPP at 1 888 310 1122.
