Flashing amber lights on a school bus mean slow down and use caution. Flashing red lights with the stop arm out mean you must stop, whether approaching or following the bus. Let's keep our children safe as they get on and off the bus. @SGItweets

It's back-to-school season, which means we all need to be extra careful in school zones. A moment of distraction could be a tragedy. Drivers, please slow down to the posted speed limit, obey all signs, and be prepared for the unexpected actions of children. @SGItweets

#Myth: Talking on a hands-free device isn’t distracting. #Fact: Hands-free devices remove the need to hold your phone, but the conversation itself distracts your mind from driving and raises crash risk. @SGItweets

Parents, let’s teach kids road safety: remind them to “Stop, Look, and Listen” before crossing, use sidewalks when available, and if not, walk on the left side facing traffic. Find more back-to-school tips on the SGI website! 1l.ink/GKRRFX8 @SGItweets

School is back in session, and the safety of our children is a top priority. School zones are busier than ever with kids walking and biking to school. Slow down and obey the posted speed limits. Don't be the reason a child doesn't make it home safely. @SGItweets

A police officer can ticket you for distracted driving, whether reading, writing, grooming, or more. One moment of inattention can be fatal. Keep your hands on the wheel, eyes on the road, and help keep our community safe. @SGItweets

Intersections can be unpredictable—even familiar ones. To stay safe, always look both ways, watch for light changes, don’t assume other drivers will do the right thing, and never pass through an intersection. #CTSSask #SKCheckStop @SGITweets
