Seems to me I read somewhere regarding “I was a stranger, and you took me in…”. As well as a Good Samaritan reaching out. Must be a different Bible.
I don’t recall the “Parable of Voter ID” either, nor political parties. Perhaps I don’t have the King Donald Edition.
Do you know who to vote for in the midterms? Let me give you some help, but you decide. The Democratic Party wants open borders, while the Republican Party wants secure borders. The Democratic Party wants noncitizens to be able to vote; the Republican Party supports requiring voter ID. The Democratic Party wants to give taxpayer-funded benefits like healthcare to noncitizens; the Republican Party says No to that. And there are a hundred more issues. The choice is yours—but look prayerfully at what both parties stand for.
Congress wanted to make cuts… ag groups agreed to cuts, IF we received free trade and deals like Trans-Pacific Partnership; we got the cuts - did not get free trade nor TPP; then got tariffs.
Now subsidies are needed again. No surprise here.
Is American Agriculture sustainable without subsidies?

Public assistance is money to help buy necessities; ag payments are intended to offset money that has already been spent.
We enjoy seeing the swagger return to Corvallis. :-)

It is funny, I graduated from CAL after spending my first year at OSU. I make all my donations to OSU because they treated me well. I will always remember trying to find out about enrolling for classes and being greeted at the admin building with "What do you want". The first step toward building support amongst the alums is treating the students with dignity.
CAL and Stanfurds move to the ACC was one of the most bonehead moves ever but I would still love to see them return as a western school. You cannot make the argument for money as OSU will net more than either of them this year.
Many people forget Berkeley is the Land Grant University for California. (Re)Joining Oregon State, Washington State; and partnering with Colorado State, and Utah State the institution would elevate the regional PAC-12 academically and athletically.
Cal Regents could fix it.
Cal is the #1 public university in the country (arguably the world), situated in an economic powerhouse of a region, with a wealthy donor network and a sleeping giant of a fan base desperate for a reason to care.
We excel at the highest levels across academics and athletics. Yet somehow, fielding a competent football product has remained an insurmountable challenge for decades. It’s frankly absurd given the resources and potential of this institution.
The “reset” we were sold has clearly failed to materialize. Something needs to change, and fast.
