No secret that the 2027 class is loaded at the PG position & Kevin Savage is a significant name in the talented crop. The fit w/ Purdue is obvious as the southpaw floor general is as tough & consistent as they come.
Gets to spots quickly/efficiently off the bounce & plays w/ immense confidence.
Like the chances of Savage leaving his impact on CBB for years to come.

If GHSA's 2026-27 seeding format/PSR had been in place this year, it would've worked to limit top-10 teams from playing each other in the 1st round. It would not have worked to delay 'premature' matchups after that (no better than currrent model). There would've been some dubious seeding (6A champ would've been a #8 seed).
Here's an analysis ...

2026 Lamarrion Lewis (Wheeler) did a great job in attacking and being a threat in a variety of ways. The guard displayed speed, the ability to attack out in transition, find teammates, and knock down shots from outside. Strong showing from the senior guard. #PhenomHoops #PhenomGeorgia @PhenomGeorgia_

I continue to praise what 2027 Kevin Savage (Wheeler) brings to the table. Super quick PG that gets by defenders with his burst, shifty handles, creates and makes tremendous reads, and such a strong scoring option as well. His defense though is a game-changer for his team. #PhenomHoops #PhenomGeorgia @PhenomGeorgia_

2026 Colben Landrew (Wheeler/ UConn commit) makes the game look to effortless at times. Have loved his game for some time now, as the 6'6 prospect can be such a strong multi-level scorer with ease. Finishes strong, embraces contact, creates space, can knock down perimeter shots, and liked his impact defensively as well. #PhenomHoops #PhenomGeorgia @PhenomGeorgia_

2026 Amare James (Wheeler/ Clemson commit) was an x-factor tonight, mixing it up offensively and really being assertive on both ends. James showed his ability to get to his spots and be a threat in catch-and-shoot, as well as get downhill and finish at the rim. #PhenomHoops #PhenomGeorgia @PhenomGeorgia_

The next prospect to watch for Wheeler is 2028 6'4 Shamar Madden, as he will be a prospect for HM programs to watch for. Holds a few early offers but really liked his ability to attack the paint, get inside on several occasions, and not settling offensively. Shows the ability to score from multiple levels. #PhenomHoops #PhenomGeorgia @PhenomGeorgia_

Lamarrion Lewis is a tough, defensive minded point guard.
He can score but is best as a distributor and lock down defender.

Kevin Savage is a quick, tough and fearless guard that is an aggressive playmaker.
He has a tight handle, is a good passer as he attacks and has beyond the arc shooting range.

2026 F Colben Landrew was on a heater yesterday afternoon with the type of scoring barrage that reminded me of what former Ohio State star Brice Sensabaugh did a few years ago. Big, strong wing scorer with a smooth stroke. @colben_landrew @WheelerHoops @gameeliteatl
