#nobbystiles a legend of a man. A role model for players who perhaps had more tenacity and heart than skill. I was lucky to attend an evening with 9 of the 11 members of the '66 team (no Banks or Stiles), but they all spoke of him with such admiration. Every team needs a Nobby.

Incredible to see the response of volunteers. 250,000 plus in one day! We can keep talking about which government caused X or which PM cut Y, but when our backs are against the wall the Brits pull together like no other.
