Modern medicine will test a healthy person until it finds something it can treat for life.
If your blood pressure is normal, they lower the line until it isn't.
If your cholesterol is normal, they run your age through a calculator and prescribe anyway.
If your sugar is normal, they lower that line too, and now you are prediabetic.
If your bones are normal for your age, they measure them against a thirty-year-old's.
If your kidneys are normal for your age, they call it chronic kidney disease.
If your weight is normal, they redraw the chart and you wake up overweight.
If your neck is normal, they scan it and find a nodule.
If your vitamin D is normal, they raise the bar until most of the country is short.
If your grief is normal, they give it two weeks and diagnose depression.
If your child is normal but the youngest in the class, they diagnose the birthday as ADHD.
If every test is normal, they sell you a scan of your whole body.
If the scan is normal, they call it a baseline and book you in for next year.
Each time the definition widened, somebody was already standing by with the treatment.
When the cholesterol line came down, eight of the nine experts who moved it had been paid by statin makers.
When osteopenia arrived, the company selling the bone drug helped get the scanners into doctors' surgeries.
Nobody ever made a penny sending a healthy person home.

I wonder what future generations will think of us when they discover that humanity possessed more wealth, knowledge, and resources than ever before, yet still allowed children to fall asleep hungry, parents to sacrifice their lives simply trying to survive, and millions to suffer through circumstances we already had the ability to change.
How we could understand the human body in extraordinary detail, yet allow people to die because they couldn't afford treatment.
How we could connect billions of people, yet struggle to understand the person standing right beside us.
How we could study thousands of years of human suffering, corruption, and exploitation, yet continue repeating the very mistakes we claimed to have learned from.
And how we could spend so much of our brief existence deciding who deserved compassion, when another person's suffering should have been reason enough to care.
Because when I look at this world, I don't see billions of enemies divided by borders, beliefs, or political affiliations.
I see human beings who never asked to be born into these circumstances, carrying pain others cannot see, loving people they are terrified of losing, and sacrificing the only life they will ever have in the hope that those they love might have a better one.
And it breaks my heart that we have been taught to fight one another while sharing so many of the same fears, struggles, and hopes.
Perhaps the person you have been taught to hate is lying awake tonight, worrying about their children, just as you have worried about yours.
Perhaps you have both been given different explanations for the same suffering.
And perhaps the greatest tragedy is how much of our humanity we have already sacrificed without ever questioning who benefits from our division.
Because the question should never have been which side would win, but how many human lives would be broken before we finally understood that everyone deserved the chance to truly live.

How can Kellie-Jay expect fair treatment from the police if @metpoliceuk officers are allowed to hiss at her name in a DEI session?
Detective Constable Melanie Newman alleges that the Met Police created a ‘hostile environment’ for people with gender-critical views….. The hearing also heard from Newman how at one point the audience at the Transgender Day of Visibility “hissed” when the name of a prominent gender-critical campaigner, Posie Parker, was mentioned.

When are the so-called progressive left going to wake up and realise?
I wanted to be able to find something good in Islam, because we’ve all been told for the last 25 years that it’s this wonderful religion being twisted by extremists, but that’s just not true and once you admit that to yourself it’s very freeing.
Islam is, objectively, a _terrible_ religion, with a two-tier system of morality that treats Muslims well and everyone else badly. And that’s before you even mention the barbarous treatment of women, which is damning enough on its own to condemn the whole thing, even if the rest of it had value. But it doesn’t. Jihad — war — is one of the five pillars, ffs.
Islam condones slavery, forced marriage, domestic violence, the rape of children, and the genital mutilation of women and girls. The countries where it holds sway are horrible places to live, especially for women, and the more devout the country is, the worse it is to live there. Even places like Turkey, which is officially secular, have young girls sold into marriage with adult men, and incredibly high rates of femicide and domestic violence. In countries like Yemen and Afghanistan, up to 30% of girls are sold into marriage as children — and these customs are being imported into the West.
Islam offers Muslim men full control over Muslim women. It offers Muslim women nothing but the chance to bear the next generation of Muslim men.

A lot of us were very willing to have a debate without heat, @stonewalluk, and the reason that never happened wasn't because gender critical feminists didn't want one.
While we were trying to get you to listen to our concerns, your former CEO was telling a BBC boss that gay people not wanting to include the opposite sex in their dating pool was 'sexual racism'. While we were pointing out the homophobia inherent in gender ideology, Stonewall ambassador Alex Drummond (a bearded, heterosexual man who'd had no surgery and taken no cross-sex hormones but liked wearing skirts), was going into schools to talk to students about his 'lesbian' identity. @BluskyeAllison, who actually is a lesbian, was subject to unlawful discrimination at her place of work for tweeting: ‘Stonewall recently hired Morgan Page, a male bodied person who ran workshops with the sole aim of coaching heterosexual men who identify as lesbians on how they can coerce young lesbians into having sex with them. Page called [it] “overcoming the cotton ceiling”.’
When the UK Supreme Court upheld women's right to single sex spaces, you issued a statement expressing your unhappiness about the ruling. In her report on your unhappy influence at the University of Essex, you were found by barrister @akuareindorf to have misrepresented the law as it related to women's rights: '[Stonewall have] stated the law as Stonewall would prefer it to be, rather than the law as it is’.
In 2018, you publicly advised schools to shred a research pack saying there were risks to puberty blockers, in spite of the fact that you aren't a medical charity and that there was already credible evidence that puberty blockers are neither irreversible nor harm-free. Meanwhile you produced your own educational packs, recommending a children's book, for ages 5-9, in which the parent 'is neither a man, nor a woman – they’re non-binary.' In July 2022, Stonewall sent out a tweet that read ‘Research suggests that children as young as two recognise their trans identity'.
@thetimes has reported how you've sought to control the language used by NHS trusts and government on their social-media accounts. Organisations would get points from you for replacing commonly understood words with ideologically approved terms, eg, 'birthing parent' instead of 'mother'. thetimes.com/uk/society/arti…
In short, you took a maximalist position on gender identity ideology, which you attempted to enforce by diktat. You refused to acknowledge that you'd hitched your wagon to a cause that, unlike civil rights, gay rights or women's rights, sought to strip rights from others. You sought to curtail everyone's right to freedom of speech and belief by controlling what it was permissible to think and say, through the management and political class. You have argued against women's and girl's rights to their own spaces, their sports and to assemble without men. Your former CEO tried to shame gay women/men into dating the opposite sex if the latter claimed to be female/male.
Your mantra was 'no debate' because, like all totalitarians, you preferred slogans, bullying and infiltration of powerful institutions to talking to opponents. You appear to have had no concern for the lowly people your ideology was harming: gender confused kids, female rape victims, female prisoners, regular people hounded and investigated at their places of work for refusing to accept the new mandates on sex and gender issued from on high.
Your 'activism' has been a disaster for those trans-identified people who really do just want to get on with their lives in peace. You have besmirched the name of an organisation many of us were once proud to donate to, the charity that was partly responsible for securing the legal right of gay people to marry, which a lot of us thought would never happen in our lifetimes. The milquetoast words quoted below do not erase a decade of gender activism that has been disastrous not only for individuals but for society as a whole.
There was once a debate to be had, but until you acknowledge the direct harm you've caused, it is no more possible to debate you than to persuade a person in the throes of a drug-induced psychosis that they are not, in fact, the reincarnated Christ.

Nicola Sturgeon is political dead meat. She wasn't even yesterday's politician yesterday. Why is she still being given headlines as if she were important? Her place in history is as the person who holed the SNP below the waterline and set back Scotland's cause by at least one decade and possibly two. Her only usefulness now lies in her being a reminder of mistakes the independence movement must never repeat.

“I watched her refuse boys’ clothes, resist haircuts, paint her nails, wear princess dresses and imitate my morning skincare routine. My husband and I wondered if it was a phase. I bought trucks and trains.”
Why did this mother buy trucks for her son if he didn’t want them? Everything is just stereotypes. EVERYTHING. Liking dresses and following elaborate skincare routines is not a medical condition. There is no sickness or illness here that needs to be treated. This mother has put her 12 year-old on puberty blockers on the basis of her son’s preference for princess dresses and haircuts. Imagine, she halted the natural puberty of her son! It’s highly likely she will start him on a course of cross sex hormones, leading to a micro penis, inability to orgasm, and a compromised endocrine system.
I don’t talk about it much b/c, despite my activism, I’m a private person, and I have no desire to use my children as props in a war they didn’t sign up for. But one of my own kids had early desires, starting before preschool, to be the opposite sex. I was always clear with him, even at 2, that he could wear whatever he wanted, but he would never be and could never be a girl. His desires to be the opposite sex have waxed and waned over the years, but the guidance we provided him on how the world works (boys can’t be girls) remained consistent, and he grew up a comfortable, happy boy with some atypical behaviors or interests. It’s been years now since he has expressed any desires to be a girl. I’m not sure he even remembers those days. Just yesterday, when I expressed surprise that he now liked almonds despite hating them last week, he said to me, “Mom, a man can change his mind.” 🤣
Which had me laughing so hard inside. Kids say the funniest things, and we don’t need to chemical castrate them for any words they say. (It’s a horrible nightmare that I have to write that last sentence.)

Something that doesn’t get talked about often enough is Islamic morality - or rather, the lack thereof. In Western civilization, we have a clear system of right vs wrong: what is evil to do to person A is also evil to do to persons B and C.
Islam doesn’t work like that. Muslims don’t ask themselves whether or not they’re doing the right thing, they ask themselves if what they’re doing is haram.
That difference is critical.
You see, Mohammed laid down two different standards of behavior: one for interacting with other Muslims, and one for interacting with everyone else. Interactions between Muslims are strictly governed to preserve individual male honor and personal dignity. Everyone else can be lied to, cheated, raped, and enslaved.
All the emphasis on moral dealings and upright behavior only applies to interactions with other Muslims, which is why you see so many Muslims who cheat the system here in the West openly and without shame. They have permission from their “prophet” to take advantage of any non-Muslim in any way they please.
People are not automatically entitled to decent treatment in the Islamic worldview: their behavior dictates how they are to be treated. Devout Muslims — obedient followers of Muhammad — are to be treated with honor and shown respect. Anyone else can be trampled, cheated, lied to, raped, and robbed at will. Islam, because it lacks a moral center, can be used to justify almost any kind of behavior a Muslim man wants to commit. Their world is divided into humans (Muslims) and “infidels,” and it’s always open season on the latter. This two-tier system of morality is extremely convenient for Muslims.
The concern for what is haram instead of what is right is also what allows Muslim men to treat women so appallingly. Anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of right and wrong can see that treating half the human race as if they’re animals falls firmly in the latter category, but “right” and “wrong” are foreign concepts in Islamic thought. The belief that rape is always wrong, for example, meets resistance from Muslim men who believe that it is haram to rape not only one’s wife, but also to rape the women of one’s enemy. There is no concept of universal human dignity, or of universal human rights. Islam is patriarchy in its purest form: the world and everything in it exists to satisfy the needs of Muslim men. “Good” and “evil” are Western concepts. Islam has “permitted” and “haram.”
