Thanks Brad! Great to see you guys getting after it today! Thanks for the hospitality.
What a honor to have @WiggsJohnny and Coach Tholen out to talk to our team today! Great coaches and 1st class baseball guys! The standard we uphold everyday is built on what Coach Wiggs and Coach Tholen built in their Hall of Fame Careers @SFSaintsBSB!
#SicEmSaints
Got a chance to take Coach Harry Tholen out to a @SFSaintsBSB intrasquad today. Coach Powell brought the guys over and introduced him to the team. Coach started the baseball program and played their 1st Gms in 1982. Really blessed to have played and coached at SF. @santafesaints
Tommy Edwards is the best! Has done such a great job at BK. He was also a great teammate of mine with @GatorsBB. Was one of our leaders on our 88 SEC Championship and CWS team.
Yankees need a more old school manager to encourage some toughness, fight, grit and to demand some accountability. Joe Madden, Joe Girardi, Buck Showalter, Don Mattingly, Derek Jeter - somebody beside just running it back again. The BOSS never would have run it back this much.
I have a hard time understanding. Only Game 3 of the White Sox and Guardians series and nobody has a starter they can run out for multiple innings? Both teams start openers and each team throws 7 pitchers each. 14 pitchers pitch! Nice depth. AL Central at its best.
Proud of my team for doing such a great job in the classroom last year. 3.27 Team GPA for the year. Congrats fellas!! @SFSaintsBSB @santafesaints
Headrick throws center cut FB on 3-2 vs LHH with a base open to give up 2 more runs. Great strategy there! @Yankees @TalkinYanks
As a former coach, I was concerned about this @GatorsFB game. But this was way worse than I imagined. Move on. Restart next week.
Don’t forget about Urban Klavzar! He may be better than Fland and Aberdeen!
I just don’t understand. They don’t do something all season and then try it the playoffs and wonder why it didn’t work out. Duran had only thrown more than 1 inning once all season. 1st playoff game - 2 innings - 2 runs and a loss. SMH
Volpe will be on the roster. And why do u put Hill on the roster and not Yarbrough?
Hill - 58.2 IP - 25 SO - 4.60 ERA - .247 BAA - .213 BAA vs LHH
Yarbs - 61 IP - 44 SO - 3.84 ERA - .219 BAA - .174 BAA vs LHH
My guess at the Yankees Wild Card Roster:
C: Wells, Sanchez (2)
INF: McMahon, Jazz, Lombard, Garcia, Rosario, Goldschmidt (6)
OF: Jones, Bellinger, Ramos, Grisham (4)
UTIL: Caballero (1)
DH: Rice, Stanton (2)
SPs: Fried, Schlittler, Cole, Rodon (4)
RPs: Bednar, Blackburn, Headrick, Warren, Schreiber, Hill, Fulmer (7)
If Grisham or Stanton can’t play, Volpe makes it. If not, I don’t see the path for him.
When I played baseball @FloridaGators there was so many great players at UF in other sports.
Football - Kerwin Bell, Emmitt Smith, Louis Oliver
Basketball - Vernon Maxwell, Dwayne Schintzius, Andrew Moten
Swimming - Dara Torres, Anthony Nesty
Late 80’s were the best!
It was the coaching staff’s fault. Jazz was playing up the middle. The staff should have told him to shade toward 1st. They didn’t and he didn’t think of it on his own. So working on it didn’t help player or coach.
