I have been TELLING you this is coming. Please start paying attention holy shit.
You realize the next step is this will be linked with your Microsoft account or windows hello both of which will require biometrics/ID verification right.
If you care about privacy you to consider either sacrificing your devices potential future security due to vulns by not updating it, and removing copilot/rekall/etc and disabling all your telemetry you can.
Or you need to shift to using a Linux OS that has already stated they do not plan to comply with such legislation.
In either case you need to start preparing for where this is headed now. Because once this all becomes universal globably it will be highly regulated and difficult to get around the longer time goes on.
Microsoft confirms Windows 11 is getting a new age-check system for apps, but promises it won't leak your birthday.
Microsoft is testing a new Windows Age API that lets apps ask Windows for your age group and restrict access based on local laws. Apps can also find out whether your age has already been verified.
In the upcoming release, apps that use this new Windows API won't ask every user to enter their DOB, as Windows can return a broad signal like Under 10, 10–12, 13–15, 16–17, or 18+.
The idea is child safety compliance, which is now required for apps with user-generated content, chat, media ratings, in-app purchases, or virtual currencies to adjust the experience based on age without building their own age-verification mess.
Microsoft says the APIs are documented ahead of availability and will be enabled in a future Windows 11 release later this year.
It's also worth noting that the feature is on Windows 11 PCs with a Microsoft account signed in, and apps must be registered with Microsoft’s Digital Safety platform before getting meaningful signals.

The world is 700% richer than in 1970 but the average person is only 8% richer.
Because the richest 0.01% are 4000% richer.
We are all being robbed every second of every day, and it doesn't matter how much profit or growth there is.
It will never reach you.

My friend Jonathan Fuller took this picture of ducks in a dried up pond on Wallasea Island, Essex.
It’s heartbreaking.
I will never ever forgive the media, politicians, the oil industry and the moronic fools on social media who have been complicit in this climate crisis.

A 90% loss of corn for animal feed, with the situation repeated across much of northern Europe, will inevitably lead to food price spikes later in the year. UK also importing green veg from Spain at the height of growing season due to massive crop failure

While Europe boils, worth remembering what the UK’s top risk assessors are warning us the coming decades have in store:
OVER TWO BILLION DEATHS
Also worth remembering that not a single journalist has yet asked a government minister to comment on this.
