so much potential for land managers to utilise acoustic monitoring for wildlife data @WilderSensing
We've just installed a @WilderSensing acoustic monitor at our site in Somerset. Can't wait to hear what birds are using it - we're expecting this to change as the wetland develops. It records 24/7 and creates hundreds of thousands of species level records - what an amazing tool!

Our CEO @GeoffCC chatting about the successful deployment of our technology at Honeygar farm
Working in collaboration with @SomersetWT we have collected over 30 thousand hours worth of #bioacoustics audio recordings and detected 1.2 million species level calls
Our Honeygar Wilding Officer, Joe Hampson, was talking all things wildlife monitoring with @bbcsomerset this morning! 🔊
Joe and Geoff Carrs of @WilderSensing were delving into the topic of bioacoustic monitoring and the pivotal role this can play in nature's recovery. 🌱

Next up is Geoff Carss from @WilderSensing and Ken Lipscomb from @EcologyTweets who deployed 24/7 audio sensors to evaluate if bioacoustics and AI could add insights and value - the results produced large volumes of species level data and enhanced the role of ecologists

Over ONE MILLION species records have been collected at #Honeygar! 🎉
We're working with @WilderSensing to determine which species have been visiting Honeygar — and we've just reached one million records! Find out how this works: somersetwildlife.org/blog/jo…
