What’s happening to Colgate Lacrosse right now is such classic higher education bullshit.
Suspended INDEFINITELY without any sort of publicly stated proof of wrongdoing, the school can essentially hold them hostage until they deem whatever it is they were doing in private (going to just assume it was idiot college kids joking around in a groupchat THE HORROR) was against their “code of conduct.”
I also love that this article claims that since the regular season isn’t until February then this really wont impact the team. Not like the Fall is important to how a team plays in the Spring or anything. They’ll be playing catch-up all season long thanks to this.
Either come forward as a school and say what they were doing that was so bad with your chest, or let the boys practice as scheduled and then if they’re found GUILTY of anything dole out punishments.
If whatever these kids did was so terrible that the team needs to be disbanded, I will retract but until then this is absolutely ridiculous. @ColgateMLax
