Emphasing winning games over equal game is a choice coaches make. And one day coaches might look to play those children. But they've already dropped out due to a lack of game time. So now there may be no team for anyone. Long term vision v short term success, its a choice.

Comparing 4v4 & 7v7 at U10. 103 children played across 3 matches of each format. 4v4 showed an increase of actions by: ▪️143% for non-dominant players ▪️72% for dominant players Imagine the impact having twice the number of actions per game would have across a season. @MCRumpf

2v2 or 1v1. Loads of variation can be added. Ran 4 games side by side last night at u13s hurling practice. Huge craic. @ShaneSmith197 @Hurlingcoach @WhelanAran

Cian Lynch skill of the game so far. He's unreal. Limerick backs using the high ball bat. 👌 A lost skill. #Limerick @LimerickCLG @claregaacg

Erling Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm. But contrary to popular belief he's not a robot that was created in a lab A case study done on his youth team gives some interesting insights into his development Here's 5 insights for coaches (of any sport) 👇🧵👇

Another slowmo. You can see d connection at the end,the hurl just twisted. This was due to a size 4 ball which is the next ball size up from u11s. Makes a big differance.Trying out size 4s,to get use to the weight @DelvinGaa @coachingwh @GAAmeCoaching @tommygall94

Made a slow-mo of a few of the u11s during the 10min free play at the start of practice. To show them their technique & if they can improve. Great tool. @coachingwh @DelvinGaa @GAAmeCoaching @tommygall94
