I’ve just witnessed what could best be described as a Public Audition for a play. Like, people auditioning in a cafe. Is that a common thing? My favourite bit was when one of the actors rocked up with a pint because he thought he’d arrived early.

Lot of reports about how teams are selling themselves to Deshaun Watson. I'd like to know how Watson - and the team that trades for him - plans to publicly address his allegations and the fans they will alienate.
Cleveland couldn’t have handled this worse if they tried. Baker isn’t bad enough to go after a replacement and then backtrack when it doesn’t work out.

Perk of unemployment is afternoon trips to the cinema. Just seen ‘Ali and Ava’, which was terrific. Fantastic lead performances, great soundtrack. My favourite of Clio Barnard’s work to date.
