Here’s how to rewatch Heat games on the @WPLGLocal10 +platinum app:
Open app. Go down to “Guide” and find the date and time of game. You hit that and it opens to play. You can advance or rewind at your pace. Replay is available 72 hours after every Heat game on Local 10.
Giannis with only one assist tonight is pretty telling. The looks were there. He was going downhill and either finishing or finding a teammate. Bam, Wiggins, Hardaway Jr and Jovic a combined 3-18 from 3.
Evident from opening tip that Heat defense couldn’t keep up the pace the offense was playing at against this team. Wolves can play as fast, plus hit 3’s. Miami with some sloppy turnovers too. Lots to learn as games go on. It starts with the defense. Shooting just 7-29 from 3.
Giannis now up to 32 points in his Heat debut. That’s the most by any player in a Heat debut, passing LeBron James who had 31 in his first game with Miami.
Wolves up 99-81 on the Heat after three quarters. Both teams shooting 49% from the field, but Minnesota has 10 more made 3’s than Miami. The rebound advantage up to +10 for the Wolves, as well.
It’s been very noticeable the difference in Bam’s aggression with Giannis off the court then when Giannis is on the court. That has to balance out better as they get more comfortable together.
Sloppy close to the half for the Heat. Minnesota gets some distance to take a 69-59 lead into the half.
Giannis has been as good as advertised with 21 points on 8-10 shooting. Anthony Edwards matches him with 21, as well.
Minnesota is 12-25 from 3. That’s the difference right now. Miami has to slow that down. Wolves getting a lot of good looks from long range.
OMG Giannis. He just left Gobert in the dust. He’s up to 19 points. Still 8:31 left in the 2nd quarter.
My God. Giannis is just a freight train. There’s nothing Minnesota can seem to do to slow him down. 14 first quarter points in his Heat debut.
Miami down 34-32 after one quarter, but the defense was much better the final few minutes.
