Cooper's girlfriend account of last night's incident had more serious allegations. According to the woman's affidavit, she told police Cooper grabbed her by the neck with one hand and lifted her off the ground and against the wall for about one minute. However, she told officers she did not lose consciousness or experience seeing spots, which are symptoms consistent with being strangled, the affidavit says. Officer Victoria Rodriguez, who wrote the woman's affidavit, said she did observe a small mark on her neck where she said Cooper grabbed her, scratches on her arm and a small cut on her hand, according to the affidavit. However, Rodriguez said the "marking and scratches did not appear consistent with a larger male lifting [her] up into the air by her throat as well as being repeatedly being thrown to the ground." "The small mark on [her] throat did not appear to be consistent with the claim that [she] had been held up in the air by her throat by another individual," the affidavit reads.
