Sometimes, the most beautiful blessings come through unexpected acts of kindness. The winner of our Breast Cancer Awareness Self-Care Basket, Karen Floyd, made a thoughtful and heartfelt decision to gift her basket to Lillie Frances Baldwin, who had also placed a bid on the basket. What makes this gesture even more special is that Ms. Baldwin doesn’t know yet! She believed she had lost the opportunity to receive the basket when Karen’s bid was selected. Little does she know, a beautiful surprise is on its way! The basket was mailed today and is headed to Ms. Baldwin’s daughter in Tennessee, whom she had hoped to surprise with this special gift. Now, thanks to Karen’s generosity, there will be two beautiful surprises and two hearts touched by an extraordinary act of kindness. Kindness Still Exists! Even in a world where we sometimes need reminders of the goodness in people, gestures like this remind us that love, compassion, and generosity are still very much alive.
