We are deeply saddened by the passing of former player/manager Trevor Hitchen (1926–2026) at the age of 99. "Smiler" joined Latics in 1957, becoming player/manager and scoring 14 goals in 52 games. RIP, Trevor #wafc @WiganAthSC @HeritagePodWAFC @PWUPodcast @LaticsOfficial

Colon Ackers Cup Final confirmed, Monday 18th May 18:45 kick off at Horwich St Mary’s. We play @chaddertonians who we’ve had some excellent games against over the past few years, so this should be another cracker.

The season might be over, but for volunteers the work rarely stops.
Pitches still need maintaining, admin still needs doing, events still need planning, sponsors still need supporting and clubs still need people behind the scenes.
Non-league runs all year round.
Thank you to every volunteer still putting the hours in ❤️

🏆🏆 They did the Double 🏆🏆
Congratulations to our u16’s girls who secured the league and cup double.
They have a 100% record in the league and with 2 games to go will hope to join the ‘invincibles’.
The development of this team is a massive reflection of everyone involved.

Our @WWJFC u7 Reds won 9-6. Lost our last 5 games by 1 goal. Good passing, tackling & great goals. Both sides played well. Bobby was in nets all 1st half & made some good saves & big tackles when he played out. Get more nervous coaching them than playing.

Mr Motivator in #Wigan 👀
He stopped off at Winstanley Walkers walking football on way home from a meeting. They pay £2 to play walking football 3 times a week, and donate the money to charity. The last donation was £650 to @andysmanclubuk 👏👏👏
Love it! #Wigan #goodnews – at Liverpool, England
