Since I woke up this morning, I've taken my time to go through the comments, quotes, and advice people have shared. Trust me, I'm going to take every single piece of advice seriously. However, there's one advice I will not take, and that's people telling me to stay away from politics and focus solely on my business.
I think I responded to someone's comment suggesting that we should vote for Peter Obi, and I noticed that quite a number of people dragged me for it. But honestly, why should I be told not to talk about politics and just concentrate on my business? Who do you think put me in the situation I'm currently in? Is it not the government? I shouldn't talk about politics, but politics is talking about me. Do you understand how badly government policies have affected my business and my livelihood?
I'm genuinely grateful to everyone who came through for me, but the truth is, I'm still going to bear losses. And who created the economic conditions that contributed to those losses? The government.
Let me also address those who believe I made a financial mistake by opening the shop in the first place. Yes, perhaps there were things I could have done differently, but let me give you some context. My shop is strategically located between two major universities in Port Harcourt: the University of Science and Technology (UST) and Ignatius Ajuru University. These institutions have thousands of students. Do you honestly think these students don't want cookies? Why do you think I chose that location in the first place? The idea was simple: students from both universities would make up a significant part of my customer base.
Interestingly, since this whole support campaign started, a good number of the people who have shown up to support me are students from these same universities. They have always been my target audience. But the problem is that the economy has destroyed their purchasing power. These students, who ordinarily would patronise my business, are now more concerned about paying school fees, feeding themselves, and meeting their basic needs.
And somehow, I'm being told not to talk about politics?
You're telling me to focus on my business, post my products, and leave politics alone. But why can't I do both? Why can't I promote my business and also speak about the political leadership and candidate I believe can bring about the change we desperately need? Why shouldn't I advocate for someone I believe can help change the circumstances that have made running a small business this difficult?
I was fortunate that my situation gained attention and people rallied around me. But what happens the next time? Will I have to depend on a viral post before I can make meaningful sales? Is that how a business should survive? Absolutely not.
I appreciate every single person who has supported me, advised me, encouraged me, and shown me love. I will take the business advice, learn from my mistakes, and make better decisions going forward.
But please, don't tell me to stop talking about politics. The economy is affecting my business. Government policies are affecting my customers. The political decisions being made in this country have direct consequences on my livelihood.
I cannot separate my business struggles from the politics and economic realities that contribute to them. I have every right to speak about both.
PLEASE VOTE PETER OBI!!! ✌️

URGENT PUBLIC APPEAL
I never imagined having to make a post like this, but I desperately need your help.
On October 31, while covering a wedding at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, my bag was stolen from inside the bride's room.
The bag contained my MacBook Pro M1 and
FOUR external hard drives holding approximately FIVE weddings yet to be delivered to my clients.
These are not just files. They are people's once in a lifetime memories, months of hard work and my livelihood.
Thankfully, we have obtained CCTV footage showing the individual entering, taking my bag and leaving the hotel.
I'm offering a N500,000 REWARD for credible information leading to the identification of this individual and recovery of my belongings through the appropriate authorities.
Please you can send a message or call this number for any update 09033892670

A、公平性。

Please, I’m tagging @DONJAZZY in this post, and I sincerely hope it reaches you. 🙏
My son has enlarged adenoids, and we’ve reached out to parents whose children have undergone the surgery. From what we’ve been told, we need to budget ₦700,000 or more for the surgery and treatment, which is currently beyond what we can afford.
We’ve been managing his condition with medications and steaming, doing the best we can as parents, but we know he needs proper medical attention.
@DONJAZZY, we pray that Almighty Allah touches your heart and uses you to help us give our son the medical care he needs. We would be eternally grateful for any assistance you can offer. May Allah continue to bless you for the lives you touch. Aameen. 🙏❤️

Steve Jobs founded Apple. And then named his daughter, Eve.
Many think it's to illustrate the Garden of Eden story. And how Eve ate the Apple in the garden, hence the bite on the Apple Logo
.
.
Eve is 28 years old 🇺🇸
Youngest daughter of Steve and Laurene Jobs
Steve Jobs called her "a pistol" with the strongest will of any kid he'd met
She once called her dad's assistant to get herself put on his work calendar
Was raised vegan for her first ten years, then rebelled hard.
She collects vintage Apple T-shirts, including a rare one that says "Eve had the right idea / She picked an Apple"
In 2022 she reportedly posted (then deleted) a meme mocking the iPhone 14 as basically the same as the 13
Describes herself as "a little weird" and says people often don't know where to place her.
She lives in a very basketball-heavy household
Eve was ranked the world's fifth-best show jumper under 25 in 2019.
Then won team bronze at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima
She was in contention for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but stepped away after the COVID postponement
Her mom bought a $15 million Wellington, Florida ranch with a 20-horse barn for her training.
Once said modeling is like show jumping because you only get two minutes to prove yourself
She studied Science, Technology, and Society (with a politics/policy focus) at Stanford
Eve has a lucky necklace she wears for competitions
Her mother, Laurene Powell Jobs has said she doesn't intend to leave a multigenerational fortune (though trusts exist)
Eve returned to top-level show jumping in 2024 after nearly three years focused on modeling
.
.
.
.
I actually do appreciate that Eve is building her own life, in her own way.
Yes there's the subtle expectation that comes with being Steve Job's child, but she's expressing herself through sports and fashion.
.
.
I know your reality might not be the same as Eve's.
Her mom literally got a $15m ranch for Eve's training.
I know you might not have $15m support.
But what you do have, is yourself and a daily choice, to be better at what you do, in the most inexpensive way ever.
Practicing in your single room. Watching YouTube videos tutorials. Saving up and registering for inexpensive tutorials.
Etc
.
.
Your parents don't necessarily have to be Steve Job or Laurene Job.
Heck, you don't necessarily need a $15m support, to get better each day, at what you are gifted at.
.
.
So today, whether you need to crawl, then crawl. If you can walk, then walk. If you can run, then run.
Just understand that, if someone uses a bicycle to get faster to a destination, you can still get there by walking.
But you will never get there by not having any sort of motion.
.
.
Who knows... As you are walking, someone might give you a lift by the road, and you'd even overtake the person that used bicycle.
But if you aren't by the road, already on motion... How will they see you to give you the lift/opportunity?
.
.
Keep going today. Don't look at the speed. Just have motion of any sort ❤️🫂

Thank you very much for reading
Have a wonderful day ahead 💯

I promise you, there used to be a time…
The nation is poor and bleeding.
About ten years ago, once it’s November, you’d begin to smell Christmas on the streets, in the local shops, in churches, even in schools.
A lot has been stolen from us, basic things now feel like luxury.

Your University will increase your school fees, and you will immediately join other students to protest because you know your parents don't have that kind of money.
You also know that there are people in that same university who are rich enough to pay the increased fees without any difficulty. Yet, some of them will join you to protest because they understand that the issue goes beyond their personal circumstances. Others will stay back because they believe the problem doesn't concern them.
You will protest until the school eventually listens and rectifies the situation. You will organise yourselves, mobilise other students, demand accountability and refuse to back down because you understand what is at stake.
You have seen what happens when people come together over a common problem. You have seen the strength of numbers. You have experienced the power of unity.
Now, take that same understanding beyond the walls of your university.
When the government increases the cost of living, when public universities become unaffordable, when hospitals become inaccessible to ordinary Nigerians, when electricity becomes a luxury and when the government makes decisions that affect your future, you suddenly act as though none of it concerns you.
You have convinced yourself that your vote doesn't count. You have allowed bad leadership, political manipulation and years of disappointment to make you believe that nothing can change.
But you already know what happens when people refuse to accept a situation and stand together to demand change.
You have done it before. You have seen it work.
The same government that makes decisions about your school fees will make decisions about your employment, your income, your taxes, your security and the future you hope to build.
You cannot understand the power of unity in your university and suddenly become powerless when it comes to your country.
You are sitting down there, broke, defeated and hungry, convinced that your vote doesn't count because you've been mentally defeated.
Your vote is one of the few tools you have to hold political leaders accountable. Use it. Organise. Demand better. Refuse to let anybody convince you that your participation is meaningless.
You have already seen what collective action can achieve. Apply that lesson to Nigeria.
Your future is being decided, whether you participate or not.

I still remember the pregnant woman who was kidnapped by bandits and gave birth to twins prematurely in captivity.
The bandit leader threw her newborn twins to his dogs.
As the helpless babies were being torn apart, he raped their mother, who was still bleeding from childbirth.
Imagine the screams. Imagine the helplessness. Imagine a mother watching her babies d!e in the most horrifying way, unable to save them.
A kind of horror no human being should ever have to witness.
She couldn't bear it, she ran mad immediately.
Whenever I remember that woman, a cold shiver runs through my body.
Somewhere, a family is still living with the unbearable pain of what happened to their daughter and grandchildren.
No amount of tears can bring those babies back. No apology can erase that nightmare from the husband.
This happened late last year, under this administration. Yet, some people are already campaigning for the same APC to remain in power.
How does a government explain a country where innocent citizens can be kidnapped, brutalised, dehumanized and murdered?
Have we become so politically blinded that the suffering of our fellow citizens no longer moves us?
Don't you feel it when people are subjected to such horrors that should only happen in zombie movies?
Shouldn't their lives matter more than party loyalty?
How many more mothers must we watch suffer? How many more children must d!e before the government treats our security as the emergency it is?
Our lives don't matter to this government.
I feel like the people supporting this government are more evil and demonic than the government.

I still remember when my colleague was kidnapped on her way home from work early this year.
For two months, her parents ran from pillar to post, borrowing money and begging family and friends to help raise the ransom.
When she finally came home, she narrated how they were gang-raped every morning and night.
The kidnappers chose their victims and temporary married them to themselves celebrating, eating and drinking like it was a legal union.
She said sometimes they shared one woman among two, three, or four men.
Weeks after her release, she was found pregnant.
That same week, we lost her to su!cide. The trauma was more than her heart could bear.
And whenever I see people still supporting this government, I remember her. I remember her parents, I think of other victims that never made it to the media.
How do you watch people suffer d!e like this and still defend a government that has failed to protect them?
Are you human at all or just deliberately wicked?
