If I put unicorns in my game it'll make it too soft, so what if you eat unicorns in the game, then it's too mean.. no happy medium! #gamedev

Mauros been working on this project for a while and it shows. The object scaling and handling looks neat, lots of objects onscreen and frame rate stays solid. Looks like the wall textures are not mirrored top and bottom like a lot of raycasters on 16 bit , instead fully textured - albiet chunky to maintain performance , the asphetic overall looks great however . Most importantly this is looking like a lot of fun !! I hope Mauro gets this on a Cart one day .
Into the Darkness – SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis A new gameplay test of my first-person raycasting game, inspired by Heretic and Hexen! Still a work in progress, with plenty of bugs and features yet to be implemented. I'm focusing on performance for now, but there's much more to come! youtu.be/yJEXleTCaYE #SGDK #MegaDrive #SEGAGenesis

Gunstar Heroes AGA for Amiga 1200 (by dmelandri). Port of the Mega Drive game. That Sonic 2 port needs 4 MB? Nice, this one is a whooping 32MB! Brute force, not elegant, I get it. But I remember running MAME emulator on A1200, or DGen Mega Drive emulator w/ similar steep requirements. The price paid for emulator-level accuracy on 1990s hardware was high, way before AI. dmelandri.itch.io/gunstar-he…

Newly-discovered asteroid 8NIQ001 approached from the daytime sky. It wasn't discovered until after a close approach of ~1000 km above the Arctic. The size of a compact car, it would have caused no damage had it hit. #astro 🔭

Don't "regret" things in the past. Just do & be better today. It is the only correction in your control.

The weather may be wild, but nature definitely knows how to put on a show. The waterfalls are even more powerful, the water rushing with incredible force and the sound is simply something else. 📍Hawes, Yorkshire Dales – at Hawes, England

Ronnie O’Sullivan is NEVER letting Ding Junhui forget this. 😂 Ding forgets he is on a 147 break and went for the blue instead of the black. Next match, Ronnie O’Sullivan made SURE he wouldn’t forget. 😭😂 The Rocket never misses an opportunity. 🦹

Shigeru Miyamoto revealed what he considers to be the most intriguing aspect of the first Super Mario Bros. game: "And the biggest invention, or rather, the most intriguing aspect of Super Mario, is that Mario doesn't actually fight Bowser. Normally, if there's a boss at the end, you have to fight him, right? But creating a battle is difficult, and we were really struggling with how to do it. When I thought, 'I can't create a battle like this,' I realized that since it's a game where you keep running to the right, how about making it so that the person who reaches the far right wins? Then I had a brilliant idea: 'Why not just jump over the opponent instead of fighting?' All you have to do is jump over Bowser, and he'll fall. I found it surprisingly fun when I tried it, and I was really happy when I realized that." polygon.com/nintendo-super-m…

A 65-year-old man was pinned beneath a car, screaming for help for 90 minutes, but nobody heard him. With broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, and his strength fading, he began to believe he was going to die. Then he prayed for God to send someone, gathered enough strength for one final scream, and something extraordinary happened. It happened in Sumter, South Carolina. Allen Clemmons had been working beneath his Ford Mustang when it slipped off its supports and came crashing down on him. Unable to move and struggling to breathe, he spent the next hour and a half desperately calling for help. As his strength faded, Allen prayed for one more chance to be heard. That final cry reached a 9-year-old boy playing nearby. Malachi Coffey followed the sound and discovered Allen pinned beneath the vehicle. Realizing how serious the situation was, he stayed beside the injured man and listened carefully to his instructions. Allen guided Malachi to a car jack and told him where to position it. The little boy began pumping the handle, slowly raising the vehicle until enough pressure was lifted for Allen to breathe more easily. Malachi then ran to get additional help. Allen survived despite suffering serious injuries. He later called Malachi his guardian angel, believing God had answered his desperate prayer through a little boy who happened to be nearby. Malachi was honoured for his bravery, but what makes this rescue so remarkable is that a nine-year-old boy accomplished something that saved a man’s life when nobody else could hear his cries. Sometimes answered prayers arrive in the smallest, most unexpected ways. This young hero deserves to be celebrated.

The English two-fingered salute is traditionally said to originate with our longbowmen during the Hundred Years' War 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The French threatened to cut off the fingers of captured English archers, leaving them unable to draw their longbows again. Following English victories, particularly at Agincourt in 1415, our archers supposedly raised those same two fingers towards the French in open defiance, showing they still had them. A gesture of English defiance and contempt for the enemy, passed down through generations and still recognised across Britain today 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
