Fun fact:
It turns out that iPhone Duo isn't the only thing that folds completely flat, so will your wallet when you spend the money to buy one!
An iPhone Duo user had their phone break within 3 hours of ownership.
When they went to exchange it, they were told to wait several months, because of limited availability.
Apple needs to come forward and issue a recall on iPhone Duo.
This phone has a fundamental problem with the hinge, and instances of the phone breaking are not uncommon.
Samsung had the courage to do the same, with the first Galaxy Fold.
And if Apple cares about its reputation, they should do the same.
I don't get why Apple is SO stubborn to adopt under-display fingerprint scanning.
This tech has existed since 2019, and it is easily the fastest, most reliable, and best way to unlock your phone, and to authenticate with it.
iPhone 18 Pro has garbage FaceID, it would be so much better if we had an under-screen Touch ID.
iPhone Duo's side mounted fingerprint scanner takes 3-5 business days to unlock, why not put a faster, better, more reliable unlocking option?
The iPhone Duo, in fact, does have durability issues.
Just like every other foldable.
It's not like Android Foldables are trash, and the iPhone is suddenly perfect in every way.
From my understanding, it seems like the issues people are experiencing with iPhone Duo is because of this hinge component design
The fact that you cannot put your split-screen apps like this, vertically side by side, on iPhone Duo is stupid.
Your foldable is fundamentally useless if you don't let me utilize the canvas however I want to.
I still don't under what the purpose of the right column on iPhone Duo is.
You're wasting ~10% of the screen to give the illusion of a unified software experience, but all you're doing is creating unnecessary work for app developers to shift everything to the right.
Just stretch the app over the entire panel, stop restricting the right edge of the screen, when it has so much potential.
I'm old enough to remember when Galaxy S26 Ultra launched, people complained, bitterly so, that the viewing angles were ever so slightly off from its predecessor.
People bashed that phone, that it is awful, the display is trash, and Noone should buy it.
Now, iPhone Duo comes along with a dull matte display, and suddenly this is the correct way?
Make it make sense.
So someone has finally peeled off the screen protector on iPhone Duo.
As we imagined, the display underneath is a regular glossy foldable screen like we've seen before.
