We always have such a great time at the WABA Build My Future event! 🚧👷🏾‍♂️🔨⁣⁠ ⁣⁠ Nearly 1,500 students from area high schools got to explore careers in the skilled trades through hands-on activities and experiences with industry professionals.⁣⁠ ⁣⁠ Our Construction, Diesel Technology and Interactive, Digital & 3D Technology (ID3D) programs, along with @WorkforceButler's Fiber Optics, Flooring and Drone Technology programs, were there to give students a look at some of the exciting opportunities available at Butler!⁣⁠ From flying drones through an obstacle course to installing flooring and exploring virtual reality, students got to see what learning these skills can actually look like. 👀⁣⁠ ⁣⁠ We love seeing the next generation get excited about their futures! Huge thanks to the Wichita Area Builders Association and everyone who makes this event possible each year 🪛👷🏼‍♀️

Yesterday, the 184th Cyberspace Operations Group from McConnell Air Force Base joined us at Butler to share their Perspective of the Wolf cybersecurity presentation with faculty and students. 💻🔐 The presentation explored cybersecurity from both the defender and attacker perspectives, giving students a closer look at how threats operate and how they can be defended against. We’re excited about the cyber learning opportunities this partnership creates for Butler students and the community, as well as the collaboration happening through the regional Cyber Consortium with other community colleges. @22ARW

Congratulations to these students for completing the Introduction to Floor Covering Boot Camp through Butler’s Career & Workforce Education! Over four days, they gained hands-on experience learning the basics of the flooring industry — from carpet and hardwood to tile installation — while working alongside an industry professional. This 32-hour boot camp helps participants build practical skills and take the first step toward careers in a high-demand field. 🙌🏼 @WorkforceButler
