8th Draft of The Gun complete. 1st 11 chapters attached. Chapter 7 had a full re-write.
Lots of new stuff added to the rest of the novel. Really pleased with how it's looking. This has been a real labour of love since November.
Enjoy! Or not π

Some people are so cruel π

I hate to think of any animal so badly abused that they end up in this state. Today I witnessed a posh git absolutely WALLOP his beautiful little dog (because the dog barked inside a shop!). I had to walk away I was so shocked. I went back to say something. But they were gone.π‘
Success!! I made her up a fresh batch. Kicked everyone out of kitchen and just kept things quiet. She ate 95% as well as a third of this mornings meal. I gave her a treat and called her a good girl π€
Evie is starving but her anxiety meter is still higher than her hunger meter. She hasn't eaten today or had her meds and it is 6pm.
Every little sound distracts her from her food.
She is hiding with me.
I'm going to stay with her in here on our own for a while and see if we can't get her anxiety meter down a little bit.
She wants the food, but it's all a bit scary today.
Decided to lie down instead. The food is just there but all too overwhelming just now to try and get it

Lidl had no Β£3.99 pork fillet left. My own fault for pimping it. I got this Β£7.99 stuffed version to try. Monaghan pork from the free state, apparently. Looks nice π€
Β£146 for 30 mins with the Dentist to be told my teeth are great.
Well, at least one part of me works ok π
Night number 2 for Evie being an upstairs dog and hopefully they are finding a rythym. Ziggy is pack leader but he is getting used to how big his new pack member is. She sometimes sits on him accidentally which makes him grrrr but is also quite funny.
To see them both together like this is quite something.
Ziggy has only ever been on his own and has often had issues around other dogs.
He had 3 homes before my wife rescued him. He was an escape artist too and was very unsettled in the beginning.
We always hoped a younger female would be something he would at least tolerate.
He hasn't just done that, he has been a great little leader and shown her how living in a house works.
Much of Evie's progress is down to him.
Everyone is snoring so I should do same. Up early for dentist π
Total cuck move by James Acaster this evening. What a disappointment he turned out to be. Having said that you do expect celebs to act like big babys.
I watched it while doomscrolling, it's not the best traitors ever to be honest.
12:30am here. Evie preferring the floor tonight. She is so wonderfully weird. Been up and down the stairs like a yo yo. I was asleep but pain woke me so I got some meds. She followed me down and went out for a pee. She missed a meal today so gave her something. She ate it so nervously, kept spooking and running away.
Carpet is new and there is underlay so she must be comfortable I suppose.
Room for me to go over and lie down too π€£

Turns out the Labour government is baffled by the fact that Poundland, a company that sells high volume goods at rock bottom prices with very thin margins, might go bankrupt after theyβve continually increased their labour costs
Thatβs astoundingly cretinous
This is my dog. Her name is Evie. She is a foxhound cross (probably with a beagle). Have you met her? π€
