What is the future of Sir Trading? As creator and coder of the primitive underlying @leveragesir, I believe Sir's best days are still to come. Why? Because unlike anything else out there, it is the only financial primitive that βœ… deleverages and releverages as price moves, βœ… without producing any type of decay, because it charges no ongoing fees, while keeping the leverage precisely on the dot. Was Sir perfectly designed? No. Sir was my first attempt at coding this primitive into a DeFi protocol, and while I poured blood and sweat into it, it had flaws. ❌ As much as I like the tokenomics of Sir from an idealistic perspective, the constant issuance creates persistent sell pressure and can wear down long-term holders. ❌ In addition, we spawned too many tokens, one for each chain. ❌ UI/UX has improved over time but still remains unfriendly to those unfamiliar with the protocol. ❌ Having a pool of liquidity for each leverage tier for each different pair of tokens causes fragmentation. Say hello to Exlex Finance New name for a new and better protocol. Sir proved the primitive, Exlex is about building the protocol for adoption. We will overlay incremental improvements and top it up with some important innovations. Here are the changes that have me the most excited. 🧩 Less fragmentation. One single pool of liquidity will serve ALL the leverage tiers for a pair of tokens. I.e., 1.5xETH, 2xETH, 3xETH... will all be served from the same pool. Less liquidity fragmentation, smoother fees for LPs, better UX for traders/investors. πŸ”„ I have started conversations with @I____felix____I, exceptional digital author of CypherDudes. The protocol will ship with an NFT at the core of its design. Not an ad-hoc collection but we actually intend to fuse 2 seemingly very unrelated corners of crypto: NFT art and DeFi. By feeding each other in a symbiotic relationship, the NFT collection will actually help improve liquidity in the protocol, and vice versa, the Defi protocol will bring more attention and demand to the NFT collection. A first of its kind. πŸ”₯ The new token XLX at the center of the protocol will be deflationary, and it will be the same across all chains! It will live natively on Ethereum L1 and it will bridge using the canonical bridge to other L2s. The token will be distributed to LPs, investors, current holders of SIR, and through a potential airdrop. A portion of the fees generated by the protocol will be used to buy and burn the token. πŸ–₯️ UI will be much easier to use, we will use standard financial terminology, fewer protocol-specific concepts, and a completely redesigned interface. When do we plan to go live? Before the end of the year. Stay tuned. πŸ’œ

At its core, building on-chain is so cool. If we can, for a moment, put aside the desperation to make money, just pretend "price go up" is irrelevant for innovation to be defined as good. Then we can really see that building on-chain is just so fckn brilliant. I really do feel that if we could get back to the roots of the concept, this space would be so much more enjoyable, and "price go up" becomes a natural and organic side effect of innovation. Creating permissionless financial systems through smart contracts, while blending in art and creativity, is so incredibly liberating and exciting, and it's a travesty how out of touch we are with this. I just wish everyone here could appreciate those concepts without always having to attach PA to them. We’d be much better off.

Running Gondola, an inference marketplace, is a great way into taking a peek at what people run as models. Let me tell you it's diverse as f**ck. We definitely live in a multi-model world. As much as the big two, OpeanAI and Claude, will behave like the white knights of government, there is no stopping to this freedom technology.

Today I call upon the blockchain industry to calmly begin planning for "bunker mode". My personal recommendation is to set in motion a controlled mass migration of assets to fresh addresses, i.e. addresses whose pubkeys remain hidden behind a hash. Holders, starting with large and sophisticated ones, should consider moving the bulk of their funds to addresses that have never signed a transaction. And when they do sign one, they should also move remaining funds to a new address (possibly generated from the same seed phrase). Don't rush. While I believe there is cause for action a rushed migration would do more harm than good. Don't panic either. Moving assets to protected addresses is a simple, preventative step which does not require new cryptography or new wallets. IMO it is now reasonable to brace for the possibility that ECDSA breaks before qday, in the worst case in months not years. By "break" I mean fast private key recovery (e.g. in one week) on available hardware (e.g. a large GPU cluster). Recent days have been humbling for human mathematical intuition. Long-held, unquestioned hypotheses have fallen. This includes the n log(n) bound for integer multiplication and the 3SUM conjecture. In hindsight, May's unexpected disproof of the ErdΕ‘s unit distance conjecture was our warning shot. Yesterday's OpenAI drop made it clear that mathematical superintelligence is upon us. They say there are weeks where decades happen. We are about to live through weeks where centuries of mathematical progress happen. Could our magic 64-byte ECDSA signatures be too good to be true? Was it just security through obscurity all this time? Elliptic curves feel especially vulnerable to superintelligence. Curves carry rich structure, with room for fancy tricks like Schoof, Frobenius, pairings. (By contrast, hashes are designed to minimise algebraic structure.) Separately, as Ewin Tang can attest, an efficient quantum algorithm sometimes foreshadows an efficient classical one. We should be open to the possibility of a classical counterpart to Shor that breaks elliptic curves and RSA at once. Also noteworthy is the striking under-representation of cryptographic breakthroughs among the 722 mathematical results OpenAI published. I've witnessed first-hand the US government censoring academic quantum cryptanalysis results. Backroom interventionism is my base case. I urge large, sophisticated actors to lead by example. Project11's "risq list" (bitcoin-risq-list.projecteleven[.]com) is a great tracker of exposed BTC pubkeys. Binance, Bitbank, Robinhood, Bitfinex, and Tether have an opportunity to harden their cold storage. Next month I'll address institutions in London in a live Q&A (forum.ethereuminstitutional[.]org/london-2026). Again, please do not rush. Wallets holding under 50 BTC enjoy partial cover from "Satoshi's shield", i.e. his 20K exposed addresses that hold 50 BTC each. Load-bearing signers like oracles and L2 security councils should consider rotating ECDSA pubkeys with every signed message and/or multi-signing with a hash-based schemes like SPHINCS. Exiting bunker mode safely will require post-AI cryptography. My inclination is to go all-in on hash-based cryptography and avoid structured mathematical assumptions entirely, whether from curves, lattices, or isogenies. A single battle-tested hash (e.g. from the SHA or BLAKE families) yields plausible post-AI security. The Ethereum roadmap on strawmap[.]org fully embraces hash-based cryptography with end-to-end formal verification as a response to the quantum threat. Those timelines must now be revisited and accelerated in light of mathematical superintelligence. I'll be pushing for maximum defensive acceleration.

Be me. Gift cypher dude to prominent NFT creator/collector with a message in it. I let him know. He acknowledges he got it. Thanks me. Never reads the message. Fuck me.

Now that I am trying to create my own pfp collection, it is always very strange how markets value collections. There is definitely, as little as I like to admit it, a big part which is just marketing, a big cabal of people just minting what they think others will mint. I remain convinced that ChatFUKR by Harvey Rayner is still one of the most beautiful, unique, transgressing and fun pfp collections ever made in crypto. It reminds me of a mix of British humor and Picasso styke. You can see the author took the collection seriously but at the same time is laughing his ass of.

Cheaper than OpenRouter. Gondola is the inference backend you need for all your agents.

The cryptographic world computer: vitalik.eth.limo/general/202… My attempt to express in somewhat concise terms the true meaning of basically everything planned to happen to Ethereum starting from the fork after Hegota. It's really not just a blockchain anymore. It's a hybrid architecture that combines together blockchains and modern cryptography, to enable much more powerful properties. FOCIL, EIP-8288, Lean consensus, state management, formal verification, advanced mempool improvements (including privacy), and the longer-term specter of obfuscation all mentioned.

What name do you like for our next iteration of the protocol? Help us choose!
πŸ€– Made with AI
We will change our name for the v2 launch of our protocol. We have a few candidates. We like how Exlex rolls out of the tongue but it means "outside the law" and it may not be the best message if we launch on RobinHood. Decayless conveys our value proposition: leveraged tokens that do not decay in value. Unfaded. Same idea than Decayless but it's shorter and sounds perhaps a bit better

I was just listening this morning to a podcast with @cmsholdings. In case you don't know him, he's a crypto OG, the smart type. He made a point that has also been forming in my head in the recent months. Tokenized equities are going to be bigger than stablecoins. Tokenized equities are essentially onchain tokens that are legal shares of companies, and by tokenizing them anyone in the world can finally invest on them. RobinHood is the chain leading the charge. While for now it is mostly degens trading memecoins paired with tokenized equities, this could fly much further. I can envision a future where a vibrant Defi and Cefi ecosystem spawn around them, and eventually it becomes also a big magnet for normies, and the next buyer of crypto. I could see "Leveraged tokens without decay" (our product), which also does not exist elsewhere, blow up if marketed right. If we sync this with the bull market, we could be part of a huge wealth effect.
