After having my account hacked, locked out and unable to find any support from @X , it's time to start over.
The focus: losing 8k followers matters little if I'm not willing to help just one person.
Let's get sober! #recoveryposse
Catching up on some @TulsaKing
A perfect Saturday morning
Picked up my new shirt from my kids school. I'll be on the school yard running perimeter checks on Nov 6th..... JK- I'll be on the drop off line welcoming kids to school.
If you鈥檙e looking for a break鈥攁 real one鈥攖ry this. Take 24 hours and refuse yourself the false luxury of criticizing, condemning, or complaining about anything or anyone.
Did I mention I'm a room parent in my son's class this year? Preparing for tomorrow's fall party!
I figured I'd up my game.....after being told by my lovely wife that she signed me up.
Poured an afternoon cup of joe and smiled. The old me would鈥檝e already been drinking by now鈥攄ay off tomorrow, after all. This version gets to stay up late with the family.
Interesting fact: I haven't checked someone else's medicine cabinet for pills since getting sober.
Clean and sober 12/15/14
Words I鈥檝e worked to remove from my team鈥檚 vocabulary: chaos, shit-show, mess, problem, circus. Not because issues don鈥檛 exist鈥攂ecause the language turns ordinary work into theater.
We are a drama-free yard.

I learned a long time ago nobody f**ing cares so do something. Getting #sober really reinforced that...it is up to me to change.
When life is hard and I see a homeless man, I sometimes feel a flash of relief鈥攖he fantasy of no responsibility at all. It has nothing to do with getting loaded.
It passes as fast as it arrives.

From inside the pattern, a sober life feels like something that only happens to other people. Same for me. After more than 30 detoxes, staying sober only started working once I stopped trying to solve my whole life at once and focused on getting through the day in front of me. And yes, it's a 24 hour job, but so was addiction. It was exhausting thinking about making money all the time, searching for a place to sleep, and doing everything to avoid withdrawals. Taking it one day at a time really is the whole job
