Russian drones are flying over my district almost daily in Kyiv, whether or not I post about it.

Whose mind is this chart supposed to change?
For Russia, the territory is a byproduct. Measuring casualties against square kilometers misses the point.
By Western standards, this is insanity. But for a regime that places zero value on human life, that destruction is the point.

SpaceX Blocked A U.S. And NATO Satellite to Assist a Russian Intercept After Crippling Ukraine's Air Defenses
The Math Proves the Reality that Musk doesn't want you to see.
On Oct 13-14, SpaceX restricted Starshield/Starlink during a 39-missile Russian attack, cutting Ukrainian drone intercepts by 23% and stranding U.S. personnel in Kyiv. Forty-eight hours later (Oct 15), SpaceX blocked U.S.-licensed NRO, Space Force, and NATO radar satellite ICEYE-X36 in orbit so Russia's COSMOS 2612 weapon could intercept it (99.89%-99.98% posterior)
Our Model Demonstrates that the Russian intercept of the US/NATO ICEYE X-36 satellite (contemporaneous with the throttling of Starlink) would not have been possible, and almost certainly not been attempted, without SpaceX resources. At a material opportunity cost, Russia sprinted its COSMOS satellite to intercept ICEYE X36. Based on a previous attempt in June during which X36 maneuvered to evade COSMOS, Russia knew that this would be successful only if X36 could not maneuver. On October 15, SpaceX fixed X36 in place by issuing a collision alert for a sub-kilometer approach with its Starlink 35856 when SpaceX's own data shows that the actual distance was 4.8-5.0x as great. SpaceX issued no warning to COSMOS despite the fact that its sprint was far more threatening than the stable X36 orbit. SpaceX did not maneuver its Starlink 35856 satellite to clear the supposed collision risk. How, absent coordination with SpaceX, could Russia have known that SpaceX would take actions that (a) misrepresented the danger posed by X36, and (b) resulted in the fixing of X36 thereby enabling COSMOS's successful intercept? Thus, SpaceX was directly involved in simultaneously compromising Ukraine’s defensive and offensive capabilities. The conjunction of these two events makes innocent explanations untenable.
The Pentagon Capture & Iran Round Two Trap: Pentagon CTO Emil Michael who cashed out $7M–$35M from Musk’s inner-circle SpaceX vehicles (M8/Gigafund 0.1 and M6/Valor M33 II) and KQ Partners / xAI (selling xAIfor $5M–$25M three days before taking over CDAO/OSCand 21 days before SpaceX bought xAI, while keeping M8, M6, M9, M10 & Nomadic open) and Pete Hegseth purged rival Anthropic in two hours, surrendered combat command over US drones used to attack Iran to Starlink’s "Terms of Service," and on October 2 named Musk Co-Director of Project Meridian to design the Pentagon's "Future of Warfighting" just as America enters Iran Round Twowith depleted Patriot/THAAD magazines and Russia feeding U.S. warship/aircraft locations to Tehran.
SpaceX’s actions in Ukraine raise serious questions about its alignment with US security interests and its reliability as a cornerstone of US defense. These questions are particularly troubling given the effectively irreplaceable position SpaceX has been granted by the Hegseth/Emil Michael Pentagon.

Boris Johnson: "Putin is a bad guy. He radiates a kind of Gollum-like... he's really spooky, very small, and pretends not to speak English when he can speak it damn well. He's behaving like Gollum towards Ukraine. He's got an obsession. It's tragic."
An evil obsessed little man
By the way, it's often Ukrainians who say, "We have no other choice [but to defend ourselves]." Muskie isn't adding that last part when talking about so-called "poor Russians", but it's implied, because he's not explicitly stating that Putin is forcing them.

Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones.
As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true.
In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians.
But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work.
In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield.
We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.
Either Ukraine has amazing hackers, Starlink is actually trash, or Enron Muskie is lying. 🤔😁

You misspelled “Russia”.
Anti-AI people sound like ancient math guys panicking over calculators:
"If I don't use the abacus, how will His Imperial Majesty know I worked really, really hard today?" 😁
OR:
"How else will I be able to impress Him with how fast I flick little wooden beads by hand?" 🤣

Today’s night attack on St. Petersburg by Ukrainian Defense Forces was one of the most successful. It damaged an oil port, oil depot, the Ship Fairway bridge, a VK data center, and an Ozon warehouse.
> "Nobody ordered Starlink's speed to be slowed down. It sort of happened."
If true, then Starlink is trash.
If false, then Rubio is lying.
Q: Did the U.S. have anything to do with Starlink not working in Ukraine at the moment? Zelensky said it was deliberate.
Rubio: I don't know what Zelensky said. I'm not sure Zelensky knows what he's talking about, but it wasn't deliberate.
We had nothing to do with it. Nobody ordered Starlink's speed to be slowed down. It sort of happened. My understanding is it's been restored. It's back to where it was before.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t even matter if Zelenskyy is President of Ukraine or not. @ZelenskyyUa
Putin’s goal is to take Ukraine. Then he will take Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and he will make his way through all of Europe.
People obsess over personalities too much.
You could have an election in Ukraine tomorrow and Putin would still find a reason to be at war.
Russia INVADED Ukraine.
Not the other way around.
Zelenskyy’s removal from office won’t stop Russian imperialism.
It’s not about Zelenskyy. It’s about Putin. It’s always been about Putin.
This means Yandex is a malicious actor, proven by Cloudflare—the Internet's bouncer at the door.
When strikes hit Yandex data centers, many assumed Russian bot operations went dark. Cloudflare data reveals that while search crawling stopped, malicious bots simply migrated to other networks. cfl.re/3VQ5uTA
The chances of this happening have substantially increased, by the way.
The more the current administration is tolerated, the more division there will be in the future, I'm afraid.
