Happy New Year everyone. Having worked over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day… I was off for NYE, so I am spending a few days away, in Poland 🇵🇱…. NYE in Warsaw was crazy!!! 🎆

Last year Mike had a cardiac arrest at home and his partner Jen called 999, performed CPR until the ambulance arrived and Mike went on to make a full recovery. He and his partner then did some fundraising for @yas_charity Today he came to meet the crews who attended and helped to save his life. @YorksAmbulance @World_RAH #restartaheart @ResusCouncilUK

I spent the day with King County Medic One, Seattle. Here, if you have an out of hospital cardiac arrest, you have a 40-50% chance of survival. This is phenomenal, in contrast to the UK’s 8-10%!
