America cut a key intel link for alerts at 2pm Kyiv. Before that: targeting data for HIMARS. Ukraine also isn’t receiving realtime information for long-range strikes. “Trump wanted a thank you,” says a source. “We will be writing it on graves of dead Ukrainians”

If Ukraine had 🇩🇪 & Europe’s unwavering support we wouldn’t be in this situation.
Scholz wouldn’t even say Ukraine should win.
Now,🇺🇦 must really get unwavering support to WIN- not empty words.
Europe must be ready to defeat Russia - for Ukraine & for all of our deterrence.
Ukraine is not alone.
Germany together with our European allies stands united alongside #Ukraine - and against the Russian aggression. Ukraine can build on unwavering support from Germany, Europe and beyond. Their defence of democracy & their quest for peace & security is ours.

❗️A 7-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl are among the victims as Russians have just bombed a center for psychological rehabilitation of children and an orphanage in the city of Sumy.
Ukraine is forbidden by it's allies from striking the Russian airfieilds and launchers where these attacks originate.

In the course of my library research at @HooverInst today I found the 1962 Declaration of Paris issued by the Atlantic Convention of @NATO Nations meeting held in January 1962. Here is the key passage (verbatim): “The Atlantic peoples have inherited a magnificent civilization whose origins include the early achievements of the Near East, the classical beauty of Greece, the juridical sagacity of Rome, the spiritual power of our religious traditions and the humanism of the Renaissance. Its latest flowering, the discoveries of modern science, allows an extraordinary mastery of the forces of nature. (…) Thanks to that civilization and to the common characteristics with which it stamps the development of peoples participating in it, the nations of the West do in fact constitute a powerful cultural and moral community.” Question: Some six decades later, would you find an expression of such profound admiration, self-confidence and pride in today's pronouncements about what the West indeed stands for?

Western allies were also deliberately left in the dark, claims the source. “Syrsky had two previous operations undermined by the West. One was leaked to the Russians, and on another occasion, we were instructed to abort.”
Leaked?!??
Great allies, huh?

The release of brave Russian oppositionists is a happy event, but should not become a distraction:
The real fight is taking place in Ukraine.
@vkaramurza & @IlyaYashin are, so far, marginal figures in Russia. They will only get a chance after Ukraine's victory in the war.

I can't believe Gen. Zaluzhnyi has to say this. It's blindingly obvious. Ukraine's counteroffensive failed because of us, the West. We were too goddamned slow and incremental. Looking at you, @JoeBiden and @JakeSullivan46.

It is really amazing with Bibi. Zelenskiy is not welcome to visit to express solidarity (which is, by the way, widely shared by society in Ukraine). Jerusalem is frequented by all sorts of foreign guests these days. But a Jewish president of the largest European country, which is fighting for its own survival, is not welcome. You can’t teach an old dog a new treat. Ukraine is mourning the victims of the slaughter in Israel, many Russians are openly pro-Hamas. But even if they throw a pro-Hamas parade at the Red Square, Bibi will not be moved.

G20 adopted a final declaration. We are grateful to the partners who tried to include strong wording in the text. However, in terms of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, G20 has nothing to be proud of. This is how the main elements of the text could look to be closer to reality
