Today, I spoke with an educator from a private school in one of the largest U.S. cities and learned that the author of The Anxious Generation had recently visited the area, advocating for the removal of technology from schools. Frankly, this perspective is not only misguided but dangerous. In an increasingly digital world, pulling technology out of the classroom threatens to leave our students unprepared for the future and undermine our global competitiveness. Blanket bans on technology ignore the reality that we need to teach students how to navigate, create, and innovate in a tech-driven society. While it's important to discourage passive consumption, we should focus on empowering students to use technology as a tool for problem-solving, critical thinking, and building the skills essential for leadership in the modern world.
