Plano Young Republicans unequivocally condemns the attempts by current and former city officials to intimidate signers of @McKinneyRecall and calls on @KenPaxtonTX @GregAbbott_TX and all other local and state officials to investigate claims of political harassment.
@GeorgeCFuller informed @McKinneyRecall signers their names and addresses would be public, told them to be accountable for the consequences, and said employers are watching.
Paul Shirar, a McKinney City Council-appointed Housing Finance Corporation officer and board member, has followed that up by telling petition signers they "should absolutely be afraid."
Intimidation is happening and it's anathema to the American civic process.
Governor @GregAbbott_TX and Attorney General @KenPaxtonTX must enforce McKinney voters’ right to sign.
