AHRN Coordinator visited the Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition (THRDC) today (August 12, 2022) mainly with the aim of strengthening the relationship between the two organizations (AHRN Foundation & THRDC)

AHRN’s vision is to be the primary support and platform for local human rights defenders and their organizations and enable them to work together for a better community

Many human rights defenders complain that they can no longer access their accounts when they lose their mobile phones in demonstrations or when they are victims of other security incidents. They can't remember their passwords, sometimes they don't have access to the phone numbers

Our digital security trainings allow human rights defenders to discover the vulnerability of their work tools (computers, mobile phones, networks, websites, ...) and to take adequate measures to face the challenges related to their security. #HumanRights

AHRN believes that the encouragement of HRDs to continue their work is vital to the continuation of peace-building efforts and promotion of human rights within the areas of conflict in the HRDs respective countries.
