Alberta's Referendum: Suspicious Numbers.
You've sent us the questionable numbers, the reported irregularities, and enough conspiracy videos to keep Hollywood busy for years, but we're more interested in what the evidence actually proves.
When we have the math all worked out...we'll lay it all out.
Danielle Smith Got Her Mandate. But Who Delivered It?
The early referendum numbers carry a warning for Premier Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party. The question isn't whether she got her mandate. It's who helped deliver it.
She Lost the Room...Can the Premier survive? Can the party survive? Can the province survive a no to the nine? Danielle Smith asked Albertans for a mandate, then lost control of the room.
Referendum Day: It's Your Day to Have Your Say, Alberta
Ten questions about the future of this province. Growth, services, who pays, and what Albertans are carrying with them to the ballot box.
If I Were the Devil - Canada - 2026
Nobody woke up one morning and found the country had changed overnight.
It happened one reasonable decision at a time. Each one explained. Each one defended. Each one, on its own, almost impossible to argue with.
So what if you looked at them all together?
CPP Disability: Who Gets Your Money?
You've paid into the Canada Pension Plan your entire working life, and you've paid for disability insurance to protect you if something goes wrong. But when you finally need both, you may discover that part of your CPP disability pension can reduce what your insurer pays, and even your back pay can end up in the insurance company's hands.
Ottawa Controls Immigration. Alberta Pays the Bill.
Jobs are disappearing, Carney's already talking about growing the population again, and Ottawa's next immigration plan arrives less than two weeks after Alberta's referendum. If Ottawa controls immigration and Alberta pays the shortfall... shouldn't Albertans have the final say?

Registeration and government issued photo id are both required to attend this event.
The event is hosted by the very same people who say Referendum Question 5 is racist.
Are you catching this...?
Alberta Votes October 19. Canada Signs October 29.
Mark Carney asks Albertans to be Canadian Forever. Ten days after they vote, he launches a new alliance with Europe built on aligned energy standards. Why would Alberta close the door before anyone has read the fine print?

I voted yes on referendum questions 1-5 because Alberta isn't a third-world economic drop zone.
I voted yes on referendum questions 6-9 not because I think it will do anything, but because I want to see Confederation fail Alberta for a third time so that the willfully ignorant have another opportunity to wake up.
I voted Option 2 on question 10 because I understand the inevitable end game.
Albertans are being asked to decide their future before they've seen the fine print on Canada's next European alliance. So why close the door on Question 10 before we know what Ottawa is signing us up for?

Mayor Farkas: Same Numbers. Different Story.
For months, Mayor Farkas warned that Alberta's separation debate was threatening Calgary's economy, yet the city added roughly 65,000 jobs while that debate continued. Now he's celebrating those same numbers as proof of his political position… so we're putting his own words, and his changing explanations, under the microscope.
Every Answer Points One Way - The separation conversation was costing us. Then the people having it were useful idiots. Now the jobs they made are proof of Canada. Bad news, good news, same answer.
