LOOK: 5,825 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) received 144 bags of fresh vegetables donated by Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, according to the Bureau of Corrections. The vegetable donation from Nueva Vizcaya, coursed through Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Philippines, was delivered on Oct. 30 to help augment the prison's food supply and support the nutritional needs of PDLs. The produce included tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, eggplant, bananas, sweet potatoes, okra, cucumbers and other fresh vegetables.
